SameSame.com.au is a new national gay and lesbian website that takes you inside out Australia.
Same Same features up-to-the-minute local and international news, in-depth features, event reviews and photos, lively forums, competitions, a detailed interactive what's on guide and uses the latest technology to connect the community with each other in a positive and refreshing way.
Same Same is a member of the Sound Alliance. One of Australia's most innovative new media companies, the Sound Alliance are the creators of Australia's most popular music website inthemix.com.au (Nielsen NetRatings) and one of the fastest growing new sites in the country, SameSame.com.au.

Buying your tickets online at www.SameSame.com.au is hassle-free and secure. We offer a great standard of customer service, have a secure gateway for your protection and peace of mind, and you don't even have to leave home! There are flexible ticket delivery options and we often have discounted tickets and special offers to make buying online even better value.

How do I buy tickets or products online?
SameSame.com.au lists tickets and products that are currently for sale. You will need to be a member of Same Same to purchase online from our site. If you are not currently a member, join now for free.
Once you're signed up you can choose from the list of events and products available to buy online. During the purchasing process you will need to provide your name, email, shipping address and phone number, along with details of the credit card to be charged for your purchase. Simply enter the number of items you wish to purchase, agree to the Terms and Conditions and you're on your way. -
How do I know my transaction was successful?
Once your transaction is approved and completed, your browser will refresh and you will be provided with a transaction reference number. You will also be sent a confirmation email to the email address you supplied during the purchasing process. - How much does the service cost? Booking fees can vary. Our ticketing pages will spell out the all inclusive ticket price. There will also be a fulfillment charge if you are having your tickets delivered by registered post or SMS.
- Is it Secure? Yes, we use 128bit SSL encryption for all transactions. All data entered into the system is entered on secure servers. Our payment system (called a "Gateway") is accredited by all the major Australian banks. Once you submit your credit card information for processing this is encrypted. For your peace of mind, we are Entrust Certified. Click the Entrust logo on any of our ticketing pages for further information.
- How do I pick up my tickets? Depending on the options provided by event promoters, you can opt to have your tickets sent to a nominated postal address by registered mail (available until a week prior to the event) or to collect your tickets at the venue once doors open for your event. If you collecting tickets at the venue, you will need to show photo ID and the credit card you purchased the tickets with. You will also need to sign for the tickets acknowledging receipt. We are also currently investigating new ticket distribution methods. Once these options have been implemented they'll automatically be made available to you.

What happens to my credit card details?
Your credit card details are not kept anywhere within the system and are destroyed at the conclusion of the transaction. -
What happens if I change my mind?
Tickets are not refundable or transferable. If an event is not staged, it is solely the responsibility of the event promoter to provide you with a refund. If required, we will provide you with their contact details. Booking fees are not refundable under any circumstances so please choose wisely. If you have your tickets sent to you via registered post, you can pass those tickets on to whomever you choose, but if you opt to collect your tickets at the venue, no one else can sign for them on your behalf. - I am under 18, which events can I go to? Almost all events that SameSame.com.au sells tickets for are licensed. This means you must hold valid photo ID proving you are 18 or older. Unless we specify otherwise, you must be 18 or older to attend these events.
- What about my privacy? SameSame.com.au cares about your right to privacy. What information we collect, and how we use it is outlined in our Privacy Policy. Please refer to it for more detailed information.
- What if my tickets don't arrive in time? Same Same doesn't send out tickets via Registered Post if we think they will not arrive on time, so please be assured that your tickets will arrive in time! If you would like to find out when your tickets will arrive please call Australia Post on 13 13 18. Australia Post will ask you for a reference number of your Registered Post item. Your registered post article number can be found by checking your Order History. If we have fulfilled your order but you do not collect your tickets from the post office, we cannot reissue your tickets, so please remember to pick them up well in advance of the event.

Selling Tickets
SameSame.com.au offers a dedicated online ticketing service so that our partners can sell tickets online from one central place. There are many benefits to selling tickets to your event online via Same Same.
Secure. Same Same is part of a dedicated national online ticketing network that has been running for several years on inthemix.com.au and SameSame.com.au. During that time they have sold tens of thousands of tickets to events from all of the largest promoters in Australia, including Michael Coppell, Chugg Entertainment, Big Day Out, Fuzzy, Future Entertainment, Good Vibrations Festival and more.
National Exposure. Same Same will be operating in all Australian states to promote gay and lesbian events to a large national audience. The site will be tailored to each capital city so that only the content relevant to that city will be viewed by the user.
No Cost. There is no cost for selling tickets online. Same Same simply adds on an online booking fee to cover handling fees and postage and handling, usually around 10% of the ticket price. We have found that different people like to buy their tickets in different ways; some prefer to have a physical ticket and others prefer the convenience of buying their tickets without leaving their desks.
Flexible. Just nominate the number of tickets you wish to sell online, which you can change at any stage during the campaign. It's easy to start off with a small allocation, and then increase the number of tickets based on ticket sales.
Choice. For all online tickets, you can decide to sell physical tickets that get mailed to customers from Same Same, or to create a guestlist so that customers pick up their tickets on the night at the door. The choice is yours on whichever method you think will be easiest for each event.
Convenient. Same Same accepts all types of credit cards: Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Bankcard and JCB, making it a hassle-free way for customers to buy tickets online.
Safe. Same Same will hold your money in a secure bank account until you invoices us at the end of the sale period. The money is then deposited into your bank account within 7 days.
Editorial Support. We can also organise giveaways and other promotions through the website. As well as providing feature articles, online tickets will be promoted to our members through a weekly email to our subscriber database.
Marketing Simplicity. The convenience and marketing simplicity of having one location to buy tickets online makes it easier to communicate in advertisements.
Instant Feedback. Allows instant real-time ticket sales updates by logging onto SameSame.com.au
Community Interaction. You can upload photos and detailed information on every event to the detailed What's On guide that is searchable by date, state and type of event. Same Same will have an detailed national interactive What's On guide where users can add themselves to a Roll Call for an event, see other people that are also going along and interact with them before and after the event.
Prominently Featured. Events that sell tickets online at Same Same will be featured prominently on the home page and on the national What's On page.
Increase Traffic. All event listings will have a link back to your website.
Be part of a national gay and lesbian online community. Several high profile Australian gay and lesbian events like Sydney Mardi Gras, Homesexual, Fag Tag, DTPM and more will also be selling their online tickets through Same Same when it launches.
- How much does the service cost? There are no fees or charges for promoters to list and sell tickets online at www.SameSame.com.au. We usually charge the customer a 10% booking fee on the cost of the transaction, or a fee otherwise agreed by both parties prior to tickets being made available for sale.
- How do I get started? You'll need to complete and sign the Same Same Online Ticketing Agency Agreement. The Agency Agreement gives us authorisation to sell tickets on your behalf and outlines the terms and conditions associated with our online ticketing service.
- What do I do if I have to refund a customer? Unless you notify us otherwise in writing, no ticket is refundable or transferable. If you elect (or are legally required) to make any refund or any transfer (which shall be at your sole discretion and cost) of any ticket then we may agree to provide our services to you to administer such a refund. It shall be a term of any such agreement that we will charge a fee for our services, and you must provide us with funds to meet all administration fees, refund sums and credit-card charge back costs prior to our commencing the provision of refund administration services.
- How do the customers pick up their tickets? At your discretion, customers can opt to receive tickets to a nominated postal address by registered mail (available until a week prior to the event) or to collect their tickets at the venue once doors open for your event. For those customers collecting tickets at the venue, we will supply you with a list of names on a door list. You will need to ensure that the person who purchased the tickets is the one who is picking them up by viewing photo ID/credit card and requesting the customer to sign for the tickets acknowledging receipt.
- How many tickets have I sold? You will receive a URL linked to your Same Same membership account where you can access up to the minute sales figures.
- When do online sales close? Sales close at 4:00pm on the last business day prior to the event. At the close of sales, we will email you a final report of the sales, the door list for customers collecting the tickets at the event and a remittance advice.
- When do I get my money? We agree to remit payment for all tickets sold within seven days of receiving a valid tax invoice from you, following the completion of your event. A valid tax invoice must contain your ABN and the amount of GST applicable to tickets sold. Payment, at your discretion, can be directly deposited into your nominated account or paid by cheque . If a ‘collect from venue' option has been permitted, the list of signatures of customers who collected tickets at the venue must be returned to us along with your invoice. If you do not provide us with the documents Same Same will retain any remaining ticketing revenue until the documents are provided. - What is a charge back? A charge back is a refund undertaken by the credit card company when a customer disputes a charge that appears on their credit card statement. When a charge back occurs the credit card company will notify Same Same requesting us to prove that the customer received their tickets if we can show them the signature collected at the time of pick up the charge back will not proceed. Under our terms and conditions, the promoter is responsible for charge backs. Charge backs are a very rare occurrence but we must be prepared for them.
- How long does the ticketing take to setup? Once we receive your signed, completed forms we will have your tickets online the same or next business day.
- How far in advance can we commence selling tickets? There is no limit to how far in advance we can sell your tickets
