We need your help! Same Same must find a true-blue gay Aussie hunk who’ll fly to The Phillippines this March and compete at the amazing Mr. Gay World 2011 pageant.

Here’s your opportunity to represent what’s great about Australia and what you love about being out in your country. Your flights and accommodation are paid for so just concentrate on being the best you can be in the pageant.

“The delegate chosen to represent his peers on a global stage will not only have the inner beauty of confidence, self assurance, charisma and natural leadership abilities but he will also take pride in his outward beauty,” says the Mr. Gay World crew.

DNA magazine’s talent-spotting editor Andrew Creagh will also be in Manila helping to judge the week-long event, which is planned for March 9-14.

Mr. Gay World doesn’t just involve one night of pageantry. The four-day event includes a range of fun and challenging indoor and outdoor activities to ensure the judges get chances to assess each candidate on qualities such as leadership, communication, compassion and positive attitude.

25-year-old Aussie Byron Adu was last year’s first runner-up. He narrowly missed out to Charl Van Den Berg from South Africa (pictured above) . “It was an absolutely incredible memory that will always stay with me,” Charl recently told DNA magazine.

“A highlight was hearing some of the stories from my fellow delegates – getting firsthand knowledge about the countries and how they live.”
