They have trained most of their lives to get to the London Olympic Games 2012. But if you are like me, your Olympic fever is now growing weary, and you care more about the medals on the wine bottle you’ve just opened than the official medal tally.
Quite frankly, at some points in recent days I’ve thought that if I have to watch anymore sports coverage I may just lose my will to live and God forbid my patriotism.
But then I spied the athletes that did more than steal my attention and reignite my flame for this historic event… because Lesliebeans, the Olympics is full of HOT women I never knew existed.
Hockey. Holy moly. Where did these girls come from?! Our Australian team the Hokeyroos, with an average age of 25, are in a league of their own. Midfielder Casey Eastham, 23, and striker Ashleigh Nelson, 25, are definitely worth my time!

The Netherlands. WOW. I don’t know what the Dutch are putting in their Gatorade but it’s working. These girls are hypnotic. Sophie Polkamp , Ellen Hoog oh hell I can’t name all of them but this team are extraordinary! Their incredible athletic bodies and flowing blonde locks illuminate the field like elves from Riverdale on Middle Earth.

Volleyball. Brazil. Do I need say any more? Who else but a perfect God could have crafted the beautiful Brazilian volleyball team. Look at the perfection. The miracle taking place is not the result of a random Big Bang! No, it is not! It is the work of a perfect creator. Brazil’s team is the defending champion at the Olympics and was favoured to win the gold.

Paraguayan javelin thrower Leryn Franco has admitted she has far more chance of retaining her title as “hottest female Olympian” than she does of leaving London with a medal.
Franco was the second-most searched Olympian, and was voted the most attractive competitor by several men’s magazines. She managed just a 51st place finish in Beijing. Despite improving her performances over the last four years, she’s still not expected to finish in the top 20.

I can’t forget Romanian gymnast Sandra Izbasa. This flexible pixie no doubt could pin you in a heartbeat. Her stunning twists, tumbles and world class scores assured the Romanian team’s third place finish.

She’s not an Olympian, not yet, but honourable mention must go to 19-year-old Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke. Athletics just got a whole lot sexier! She competed in the World Junior Championships and is now the most searched athlete for her seductive warm-up dance before her Barcelona race that went viral hitting over 13 million views. Check it out…
Lady lovers, this is why Athletics needs our attention!
