In a nail-biting vote count today, LGBT- and marriage equality-friendly leader Barack Obama has again been chosen by the American people as their President.
And all the celebs we follow on Twitter couldn’t be happier.
The good news doesn’t end there though. Outspoken out lesbian Democrat Tammy Baldwin has won the Senate seat for Wisconsin, and will now become the first out LGBT member of the US Senate.
This election day was an important one for marriage equality too, with several states polling to decide whether same-sex couples could walk down the aisle.
The results of the Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington polls all clearly went the way of equality. Minnesota rejected a proposed constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, and the other three states decided to give gay couples the right to marry.

Below, see how some of Same Same’s favourite celebs are reacting to Obama’s #election2012 win on Twitter this afternoon.
