Who goes where in Perth these days?

We want to hear your likes and dislikes, fave DJs, parties or meeting spots! Connections or the Court? Dance parties or drinkies? Fave shops for fashion? Whatever you want to tell us about, now's your chance - don't waste it!

NB Don't miss 'all the gay rage in Perth right now' on Facebook, fab page with info and gossip about this large friendly town we like to call a city.

Hey Blaah

Perth has been in hibernation for winter! October is pride month, have a look at Pride WA's website for events that are on during the festival month- there is a parade, after party, and fairday. Last year I went for the first time, and they were fun.

Perth has 2 gaybars; Connections and The Court. Connections is more of a bar/late night club, The Court is like a traditional hotel style bar with a beer garden and restaurant. Both often have special events which are fun. Muffie who replied in this thread earlier holds themed parties at Connies everynow and then, these are usually listed in the Perth What's on section of SameSame.

There are a couple of hip new bars you should check out too. BamBOO/Luxe in Mt Lawly is really trendy, and sometimes has special events. Bar 399 (399 william street) is also new and very hip (and has $15 breakfasts which includes a Bloody Mary), a new one just opened this week called Ezra Pound (Williams lane in Northbridge) modelled on a 1930's speakeasy, and Andaluz in the city is great, and surpisingly busy late on weeknights. These are not specifically gay though, but are great venues.

There is also the Ellington Jazz Club, this is a very cool spot and has gay nights on Tues, with gay jazz singers and camp music, I really reccomend this, and have friends who have become Jazz addicts and hang in the club everynight sipping cocktails.

Hope this helps, gimme a shout if you need any specifics.
