I didn't like Ellen when she first came out. She was so like... hi everyone I'M GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW I'M GAY GUYS!!!! ZOMG!!! GAY!!! And her sitcom wasn't funny enough to make up for it. I think she's come a long way, though, and over time it seems she's really managed to do a lot for lesbians in Hollywood. She also seems like a pretty cool and balanced chick (now). Go Ellen! :)

i always thought ellen's sitcom was never truly as funny as ellen the woman is... she's become such a powerful force, and it's great to see that you can be out and proud and still be a powerful figure. great stuff. love how well ellen has done for herself!
