In the Chapel clip Lady Ga-Ga has her back directly facing the audience.
The piano could have been off-set to the side at a 45 degree angle so the audience wouldn't have been shown a sea of bubbles with no face....In official piano-forte competition backs to the audience are a big no-no.

Asher I was at the Live At The Chapel performance, and she was side-on to the crowd main part of the crowd. A small number of people were off to the side only.

Ah, Ok. Some artists on piano feel more comfortable with their backs to the audience because momentary eye contact with a sea of people distracts them from playing, so I wasn't critisizing Lady Ga-Ga - each artist is different. I was just wondering out loud as to whether or not it was deliberate & from the footage it appeared as though Lady had her back to the majority of the audience: I'll watch again. I've never seen Elton John with his back to the audience & I reckon audience interaction via a good visual aspect of seeing the artists' facial expressions adds to the engagement/intimacy factor of the performance. My opinion only.
I've never been to The Wayside Chapel so maybe that's the best position for the piano to be in....

Visa pre-sale starts next Friday. Showbiz pre-sale is on now (http://www.showbiz.com.au/Tickets/ticketing.aspx?en=Lady+Gaga). Unfortunately I'll have to pass on this one, as if everything goes according to plan I'll be in New York at the time.

Does anyone know how the Showbiz pre-sale works? Do they allocate seating yet or is it only on day of sale?

For Sydney, the tickets are General Admission, so no seating. Other cities have a choice of either GA or seated. For seated tickets, seats are allocated closer to the date and mailed out prior to the concert.

Personally, I think if I was going to this one, I'd want GA tickets anyway.

There is almost always a premium attached to buying tickets in a pre-sale.

the preferred seating pre-sale is on now and starts before the visa one. preferred seating have already sold out of their reserved seats for sydney shows, but i managed to book GA ones from them - so i can dance!!!

if your talent on debut to the world revolves around taking off a ll of your clothes, then what do you do for an encore?
