Ok, so leaving out the big party and parade, what other Mardi Gras events are you thinking about heading to?

The flashmob launch. Fair Day. Maybe a couple of films. And if I get some time i'd like to see Hedwig again.

Hedwig. Boston Marriage. Al Takes A Bride. David Hoyle (he sounds nuts). Might head along to Red Carpet. Rupert Everett. Holding The Man. Film Festival (adore it!). Lemon Tart. I Love Youse All....
Really wanted to do Celebrating The Body Electric - apparently it's a group of bears and you all go nude in the Hawkesbury and massage each other and experience full body orgasm without penetration... Or something like that.
Although my friend went last year and said it rained, was freezing and he didn't have any kind of orgasm at all. Sounds pretty grim really.
Oh - will prob also go to Homesexual and Club Arak. And Bingay. And Bitch. (Not that I'm a scene queen or anything...)
And The Same Same Culture Club OF COURSE!

I was really super keen on checking out Showgirls at the State Theatre. I love that damn film and have got it on DVD. Anyone know what it was cancelled?
Official reason was "circumstances beyond the organiser's control", but there's got to be something more to it?

Yeah, Showgirls would have been fab! Just to see those awful dance routines come to life was reason enough for me! Bumma.
Apart from seeing a few Queer screen flicks, and the Culture Club outing, not getting out and seeing that much this year. Would like to see Meow Meow and maybe David Hoyle but will see if I can organise myself!
heads up for you Queer film lovers though - A few of the films are actually available on dvd through Outdvd.com. Buying them can actually work out cheaper than 2 of you going to see it at the festival... I've managed to pick up Open Cam and Eating Out 1 for $27.50 each! Bargain!!
