My "coke' addiction

Yesterday I made a decision that tomorrow and for ever on i will limit the types of soft drink i drink - That being nothing more than soda water, lemonade or juices.....

Coming from me who was a coke a day drinker (usually more than one) i knew this was going to be a challenge so now it is 3pm on day 1 and i have missed my lunch time coke....I have a headache and am tired and craving something sweet......and i am onto my second glass of soda water - its doing nothing for me!

I tell ya i never thought i was addicted to it but as i sit here now I know i was......shit i never thought i could be so dependant on a drink!

SAY NO TO COKE!

I now know why people don't give up the ciggies!

I tried getting off coffee last week and I only lasted three days, silly me it was a busy week also and I was feeling drained of energy and had awful headaches, so I think my best bet is to put it down gently. However if I was gonna have coffee with friends it just wouldn't feel the same with an iced chocolate or something and I would definately miss the taste.

If it's the caffeine you're trying to cut out, both coke and coffee come in no-caffeine versions :) If it's the sugar, go diet. I drink 2 cans of diet a day and a coffee every couple days. This is down from almost 2 liters of diet a day, plus coffee, so i'm pretty happy with where i'm at.

i used to be a coke addict - well, diet coke really. but i finally got rid of it... not sure how i did it... i think i just replaced it with water or herbal tea. but it was well worth it. i couldn't drink it now. it's vile stuff.

I was like that as well. Then i decided to drink water and i am more healthier and so much more energised. Now i only drink soft drink very rarely.

I am another, was addicted to Fat Coke, now have the rare Zero.

Like any addiction, the headaches, urges and withdrawls subside within days..

Everything in moderation kids - balanced diet and all that crap....... Years ago i used to start my day with coke and a cigarette - ahhh those were the days!

Weird but I prefer Diet Pepsi over Pepsi, but Pepsi Max - VILE, wouldn't piss on it if it was on fire. hahahahahah

It's weird how peoples tastes vary so wildly when it comes to coke. I can't handle Zero, i reckon it tastes almost as bad as regular Coke. Diet has got kind of a coffeeish bitterness that i like. Pepsi doesn't even enter the equation.
