I went there last year before I came to Australia. I had to go, San Fran is like the centre of the gay universe, it's where we all come from, it's like a gay mother land. I have to admit I was dissappointed by it, I understand the history and what the place means but you could see that it wasn't what it used to be. It's such a shame, San Fran is possibly the most amazing city in the US, i've only been to 2 so I'm not an expert, the people are polite, the city is beautiful and it's so far forward thinking compared to the other cities. It's such a shame that the castro is dying,there should be a grant to keep it going, it's part of our history, everyone who is openly gay and proud today owes something to that small part of the world.
