It was about 5 years ago when I went with my family to LA, I went out shopping with mum somewhere near Rodeo Drive she was trying on some shoes and I was helping her and I was having the customary bitch to my mum about their appearance and I look over and there was a very good looking woman to the left, suddenly I had that surreal feeling and spotted her. I whispered to mum but she was still bleating at me and she told me to go over and say hi and to overcome my shyness she pushed me in her direction and she walked past and said "hi, we're big fans"...even though my mum is not. She didn't seem to rushed and talked about where she grew up in Melbourne blah blah blah, turned out my mum's cousin's husband went to the same high school, etc. I was totally surprised that she was so kind...but yeh looking forward to a lot of guys in Spandex for MG getting Physical.

This will be the definitive Mardi Gras coup if they score Libby. I grew up with my mother playing her records day in and day out. My mum passed away when I was 14 and when I hear Libby's voice I always get a bit teary and am reminded of mum :)

But, more importantly, and i love liv, what has happened to the pervading rumours that cyndi lauper was headlining the mardi gras for the 30th celebration!!!

hmmm... it's common knowledge now that cyndi is coming for mardi gras festival, but i've heard she's not playing party, she's just doing her own shows... but you never know - i hear conflicting rumours about this constantly. i guess you'll just have to wait and see! how nice is it to be surprised anyway?
