i'm not really, but one of my friends friend's is. she got really into body mod, got stretched lobes and things and got two tatts on her belly.

i'm thinking of getting an eyebrow piercing, but that's about it. and i would get a tatt, but nothing has struck me hard enough that i'd get it done, and i don't want to just do it on a whim.

I'm not a really big on piercings personally, but I have nothing against them. I got a tattoo last August though. Hurt like hell cos it was on a soft spot. Worth it tho :) and now I want more... not sure what I want to get done yet...

Ammi, my holes have never closed up and I go for months without wearing earrings. It's rare for me to wear them since one hole is crooked so it takes too long to put them in.

I'm not sure about other piercings... some people suit them but I'm not sure I would. I'd definitely never go for a lip piercing tho!

I have pierced ears, two in one and one in the other. I thought eyebrow piercings looked cool, but hear too many horror stories of ppl pulling off their sweater and ripping it off! Ow!

Don't have any tatts because I can't make my mind up. I thought chinese symbols on my arms would be cool, then one day got fake ones and hated them there. I change my mind about them all the time so figure it might be a mistake to get one if I keep changing my mind!! There's a chick at work who has colourful stars on her foot and it looks awesome, I've liked it for ages so maybe I won't change my mind on that one? It's also in a good place because it won't wrinkle when I get older, and also won't look tacky when I'm 60. Seriously some girls get these big ass tatts, and you wonder how it's gonna look when they are old!!!

I have got a few tattoos. Apart from the timing of the first one (someone else thought it was a good idea) I have got them for myself. They can all be covered with clothing if needed so won't affect future employment (if at all).
I have roses, dolphin, Kanji Strength, my sons name under a tribal rose design, and a Virgo lady with a rose. I want one more for my big birthday coming up. I am thinking about a butterfly with the Chakra crystals in the wings and a rainbow type backdrop to it. I am trying to design it myself (as i do). The butterfly representing breaking out of the cocoon and spreading my wings. Any suggestions on this theme will be listened to.

I've nothing to share atm, but I have a tat that i've been wanting to have done for about 5 years. Was booked in and paid my deposit...18 months ago, then my FIL passed away the day before and I had to cancel. Will one day re-book when I can spare the $$

I have two kids, a leo and a virgo. I want a lion and a virgin, backs together, with the swirls of the mane and hair mingling. Maybe some floral work to add some colour, kinda shaped in a love heart without the heart outline if you get my drift. About the size of a fist. Going on my lower back.

I recon you could have a bit of fun with a sapphire Rose theme Sapph ;)

Oooh thats gorgeous Eyes! I tend to go for simple and small (I'm not good with the pain!) The one I posted earlier would be a lot smaller that it is obviously. I didn't realise how large the photo was when I put it up though.

I'm not really into piercings, don't wear earings anymore, just a belly button. I have two in the socially acceptable rebellious tattoo zone, lol pho3. The one on the left covers most of my upper arm, the other is on the back of my right arm. I of course have the obligatory tramp stamp, not in any of the typical styles though, a peace sign with a heart and pot leaf. I also have a small kanji symbol on my shoulder. I've decided on the next one but still deciding where to put it. Probably a forearm.

Baby, you can't worry about how they'll look when you're older, just enjoy them now. Met an old girl 60+ who showed me her rose on the boob, she's still having fun with it. :)

Teresa, don't be scared. It doesn't hurt as much as you think. I actually like the feel of it. I find it relaxing.

I agree on the whole 'enjoy them now' thing. Sure, they'll wrinkle up with age, but its not like people are really gonna care! Besides, once you're old you can wear granny clothes that cover em up if its that bad!

Enjoy them forever. Aged tatts are like old friends. We've been though a lot together. I got most of my tatts in the late 70's early 80's. The stuff up on the wall to choose from was (what they call today) old school stuff (swallows, ships, panthers, eagles, death before dishonour, etc) but thankfully the old cockney guy who did mine had some trad japanese stuff and he would do up some custom stuff for us as well.
I have some done in recent years mainly to remember people who have come and gone and I have no doubt I will be under the needle again in the near future.
Enjoy them forever.

What kind of tattoo are you looking to get? Most artists specialise is a certain style and this is the best way to pick your artists.

I'm femme but I work in a very corporate environment and 99% of the people that I work with have no idea that I have tattoos. That's why I wont go past my elbows. I wear business shirts most days and I can roll my sleeves up when I'm hot and my tattoos are still hidden.

Each one was over 2k. I went to 2 different artists. I have 3 hours booked today which should be the end of it.

I'll try and hold off planning my next one, but I think I already know what I want! Haha.

I've had my industrial piercing for 2+ years. I went to the Soundwave Festival a week afterwards. Not smart. It healed fine, but omg, it hurt so much. I also had a navel piercing but it eventually rejected. :(

It obv does hurt a lil n when u 1st get it done it does hurt 2 lie on but thats coz its tender.. It can get caught on tshirts n jumpers but all u do 2 fix that is b careful when puttin them on! Um u cant go swimmin 4 maybe 2 weeks but in this weather it dont matter.. N it does swell but in a couple of days it goes down but its not like it swells alot! Oh cost bout 70 bucks! Did i answer all the questions lol?

Hi tattoo and piercing people - this is gonna sound way limpdick, but does anyone know of a piercist that can use local anesthetic? Such as a doctor that does piercings?

I wanna get my nipple done (again) but I don't wanna go through the pain and have it turn out crooked. I've had it done three times, and each time I arch my back so hard that they've done it either off-centre, or not completely horizontal, resulting in me taking it out as soon as I get home after having a look in the mirror.

I've tried calling around a doctors and they couldn't help, and I've solicited a few dodgy friends to see if they could get me some anesthetic so I could whack myself, but turns out its harder to get than good pills.

I'm a firm believer in if you can't hack the pain then don't bother blah blah blah but I've had everything pierced and a few tattoos without a slight issue - I don't know if my nips are hyper-sensitive or what, but I literally can't stay still when they stick it in. Like I said, I've tried :) and I'm worried I might scar myself if I keep trying. AND I'm impatient and can't be fucked waiting for it to heal over before I go again etc etc

Anyone know anywhere? :o

Hey Violet thanks for the advice! I should be okay with the anesthetic... I've had it millions of times before - I just need something to numb the area so I can keep still and not flinch! I don't have a problem with sharps... Its just when a 16ga goes through you it hurts a tad more!! :)

Yeah I noticed when I had my labret done the second time it hurt more than I remembered... I just put it down to getting older and turning into a pussy haha
Perhaps this is why nip nip hurts more each time...? I just don't get it - I'm damn near got my teeth in a broom handle for the pain and I just can't stay still! So frustrating! Never had this problem anywhere else....

I like the picture - it's cool! I've a tattoo of a half-headed scorpion on my back, done when I was around 21. I lost one half of the head because I didn't take good care of it! I suppose it's not very noticeable but would be good to think that I've a full good head instead of a pin head! :p

Have my ears pierced but only once.Got my eyebrow done a few months ago and love it. Trick with eyebrow is to get it pierced fairly deep and a long way thru so it doesnt grow straight out/
Thinking now of getting my tongue done for the apparent ummm benefits ;)

I don't have any tatts - never had anything I liked enough to be permanent, and now I'd be concerned about having possible toxins permanently etched into my skin. I do have a few piercings tho - used to have about 15 in my ears, and an eyebrow and tongue, but I've since taken them all out. I do still have a ring in my clit hood - was an engagement ring from my (now ex) wife (she had one too). I keep that one in because it's lots of fun, even though the original symbolism is now defunct. Sometimes I miss the tongue barbell, but I'm generally fine without it.

I have one on my left shoulderblade I wanna get expanded on in the same style to cover more of my back, go over my shoulder and a little up my neck and down one arm.

I've paid 2 tattooists $100 and $135 respectively for them to draw something up for me and they were both shite.

You should check out a guy called Longy, he inks at "Feel the Steel" in Richmond. He's pretty good, and has done lots of my mates work.

And I am planning to get lots more! I want an entire sleeve on my right upper arm! that connects with my koi fish tattoo... the one shown is actually a memorial tattoos for my grandmother it is an apple with angel wings and a halo... she was a teacher and it is my tribute to her!

I booked in for my next tatt just today. Its an orangey coloured tiger and its gonna have some bamboo behind it and something under its paws. Have to wait awhile for it, but I think its going to be worth it.

Thanks Sapphire!! I really do love it! it was my second tattoo... I also have a koi fish that goes from basically my arm pit to my hip and thats on my right side. Then I have my nickname tattooed on my outside left ankle (a tattoo my mom and i got together! haha) Then a really cool southern cross on the inside of my left ankle and then I have one on my wrist of my star sign (Virgo) with a rainbow shading (hmmm... I wonder why!) haha and then i have a tattoo for my mother on my right ankle! I love tattoos and I for sure can't wait to get more!

Well... I have spider bites. which i love dearly. But i want to get one more lip ring to make snake bites with an extra. Since I'm only 17 i have to wait a little longer for my tattoo. but at midnight on my 18th I'm getting a seven in roman numerals on my ankle. more to come after i hope. If i have the guts. XD

My eyebrow piercing closed a couple of days ago after I took it out for about a day for a job interview. I've also had a tongue piercing which I also took out because it managed to chip two of my tooth. Considering getting my lip pierced next, then I'm probably done.

Everyone seems to have pretty tame taste in piercings and tattoos.
So far i've got Industrial, ear lobes, tongue, nape, nipple, 4 microdermal hip piercings and belly bar. I'm going to get either my lip or eyebrow done at the end of the year and then possibly take a break from piercings for a short time until i get the urge again. I've also got a "tramp stamp" tattoo. I think piercings and tattoos are incredibly sexy, except for nose piercings i can't stand them at all on males or females and i think guys with navel piercings are a little bit odd.

Awww I love my piercings and tattoos!!

I have had my nose done 3 times, my ears are done 3 each side, i have my nipple done, my belly button i used to have 3 in there now i only have 2. And tats - I have 4 :) I drew them all myself and I love them so much!!!! I cant wait to get married so I can get more! (Fiance and I dont want tats in our wedding dresses hahahaha)

I think tats are sexy on girls as long as they are tasteful and not just some random tribal design they got because they saw on a wall and thought it was cool....
