Great Article!!!! Very Scary though, the fact that have never ever heard of anything like this just proves how blind the media can be to what is really going on out there.

In this day and age you would think that the world would drag it feet to what is happeneing in reality today, but the truth is that we take a blind eye to these matters cause it does'nt directly involve us. It would be nice to see everybody looking out for the better good in the world. We seem to be so caught up in our own little farce of a life that we tend to elevate ourselves from these people and presume to judge them. It totally sux. Let me tell you, I have many transgender freinds and they are the nicest and best people you will ever meet, to bad to rest of the world won't ever find that out!

I just want to personally thank everybody who came along to the TDOR events we organized in Sydney. Sadly only a handful of people showed up for the day time event. We had speakers from Greens and labor. Plus Norrie May and Tracie O'keefe also on the panel. I was fortunate to perform acoustic version of my songs during the forum and got really into the panel discussion. At least we had a space for this to happen. I did notice also in SSO this week from all the people at the forum only I was quoted. Pretty bizarre really and I made the point at the forum that I as a musician feel like I'm creating more awareness than any other social or political group and I'm am but merely a tranny singing rock songs.

The TDOR after party I put on @ Slide afterwards was packed! A great turn out of a cross section of people who were there to let thier hair down and celebrate being trans or having trans friends. Thanks to Morgan for coming along and taking photos and to Christian and all @ Same Same for helping me promote such an important day. I feel quite honored to be a part of Same Same as a contributer and proud of same same's inclusion of all glbtiq people.

Ikochi put on some great shows across Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Melbourne and it was a real pleasure to put on such great shows offering our bands music and an international Transgender band. I look forward to being involved in staging an even bigger day of events for TDOR in 09..

Peace xx
