I decided to google map walking from Perth to Sydney
This is a distance of 3,742km.
Google suggests that I could do this in between 31 days, and 31 days and 10hours.
Well long story short, I worked out this would mean walking approximately 121kms per day.
Or 5kms/hr, 24-7, for 31 days.
assuming you need 8 hours of rest time a day of course, adds another 10 days to the journey.
:p
I will do anything to avoid writing this essay, even Maths.

you're terrible muriel!! and just the food and water and motel would probably cost me more than a plane flight :P as well as the fact that I would most definitely get lost!! lol

If I recall from another thread Trina, our 'particular member' talked of running, not walking. How long if she runs??????
..and feel free to work that out AFTER your essay's done ;)

I 2nd that. If we can't pull together enough for an airfare, maybe a bike?? Gota be better than having the poor lassy run/walk. She'll need her energy for when she gets there. :p

((Hugs)) Our Happy one. I know what you mean about holidays. I found them hard, but I'm starting to create a few new traditions of my own :)

Oh you lot crack me up!! God I couldn't run down the block let alone to Sydney!!!
Can you really eat cactus?!?!
Happy, don't worry about not conforming to expectations!! Besides, you're still young, so go get yourself a girlfriend and start havin those kids ;) hehe. But seriously, make the holidays about yourself! Find some friends and head out somewhere, or find an event that's on. There's usually stuff on and people don't spend all of Easter with family. I forgot to go, but a bunch of my mates had fish n chips by the sea on Good Friday, and saturday night there was a party for someones birthday. Don't let other people make you believe that just cos you aren't married with kids that you're alone. And as I said, there's always us girls for company!!

You can eat anything you like! Just remember that some stuff can kill you or make you sick. I'll stick with stuff you can ususally find on a menu.
While beef and vegetable soup (my Friday effort) is very good for you, I can honestly say that it is NOT good for you in large doses. Nor is it good for anyone else around you. I'm off to make some pumpkin soup lol

Well that too, but I'm just too unfit. Even when i was at my peak, I couldn't run. I could dance for hours and only hit the point of exhaustion towards the end, but send me running? I'm out of breath within a minute

So what your fav JD?
I'm on a bit of a soup binge atm, cause it healthy, the cold is upon us in Canberra, and its great to just pull out of the freezer after work when I'm too tired to cook.
I also try to fill the freezer with other stuff that freezes well.

I can think of something I'd love to eat right now ;)
I tend to stick with stuff that freezes well too. I quite like cooking, but usually when I cook, it's just for me so there's not as much enjoyment in cooking. Still, soup just isn't my thing. I prefer to eat food, not drink it!

Hmm assuming that she runs twice as fast as she walks....20.5 days
Add a week in hospital after attemping to run through the desert, and being forced to start again from perth...48 days. :D

Lol that particular disorder is apparently caused by a long dry spell...;)
Mangoes are indeed heavenly. Currently drinking mango juice while trying to find references for this essay hanging like an anvil above my head.

it's not easy to come out of a 10 yr relationship, let alone come out of it and then hop out the closet too! I'm very glad you found the courage though! It may take some getting used to, but one day soon you'll figure out where you fit :) and all us girls will be there to help all the way!!

Not alone hon. I gave my whole family the flick because I can't stand the pretend bull. Have been so much happier ever since :D
The thing about family - the bullshit hurts more, but because they are family, there should be more respect, love and acceptance. ;)
Pop into LL when the crap gets you down
