The spirit of Q&A (R.I.P) will be revived over summer on Chapel St, of all places, as DJ Pete Kung, one of the original promoters and DJs at Q&A over it's decade-long reign, starts his summer residency at Hoo Haa this Thursday night.
It will be my last night as a DJ there until mid-Jan as I'm heading o/s, but Pete K has agreed to take my place and bring some serious fun to Thursday nights on the southside.
Hoo Haa is at 105 Chapel St Windsor (at the pedestrian lights/above IGA) and the nite has been known as "La Di Da" since opening a few months ago, but at the request of management who don't want any of their nights branded the night will continue over summer namelessly. It's a mixed little affair with a definite core of homo regulars and it's a good nite out if you're feeling skint - beers are just $2. The courtyard is also a real attraction on a warm night.
This thursday - Pete Kung and myself @ Hoo Haa from 10pm-1am, then all thru December it will be Pete Kung and resident DJ Ben Henderson spinning house, chill, pop, electro.. and Amy Whitehouse! Anything but typical Commercial Rd sap!
