yes. she was talked about as a ALP canidate for wentworth, when turnbull lost the leadership to abbott, in the event that turnbull left politics imediatly, and there was a bye-election in wentworth.

No, but it would be almost impossible. Its strong Liberal areas by far outnumber its Labor/Green areas. Plus, Labor is on the nose state wise and the Liberals made a big resurgence at Labor's expense in the council elections in Waverley and Randwick. You may have high hopes but I don't see any real increase in the Labor vote apart from more from Greens preferences.

i think it was always about ego with malcolm - being premier of NSW simply would not be grand enough for him. as being the memeber for wentworth, or the environment minister was never going to be enough for him

I think your oversimplifying it a bit
In both liberal and labor camps you have supporters for gays
just as you have those opposed to us.
Labor showed by overturning gay unions in the ACT their "revolutionary" government is not more accepting of us than the previous liberal one.
Kevin Rudd is not a friend of gay people he is just cunning.He gave the illusion of being for us (prostituting himself for our votes) .but showed unless it has benefits for him he and labor are not interested.
