Dear Ladies Lounge.

Firstly, you would keenly be aware that I am not, nor have I ever been a lesbian.
But I am very fond of them, and very happy that you girls are getting the Ladies Lounge more active and only started this thread, cos it seemed kind of strange just dumping what I wanted to ask in the middle of an existing non related one.

Do you girls want this to be a women's only space or can boys contribute too?

Also- some of you girls have probably private messaged me, only to find me not very responsive. Infact this has happened on a number of occassions.

Do not take this personally nor assume that I do not like lesbians. Most of the time I ignore messages from the boys too.

The fact is- an ex was stalking me, and creating all these crazy avatars etc- so I get kinda paranoid.

Also- I hope you guys don't think I'm some kind of a lousy woman hater- cos I hate men too.

i like it when the boys come into the ladies lounge; as long as they are reasonably well behaved - i.e. no photos of diseased vaginas.

and no one would think of you as a woman hater, that's ridiculous. everyone i know loves you to pieces.

(as you know) i am terrible at replying to people too. it's some kind of mixture of procrastination and forgetfulness. i currently have 12 PMs I can't read because my inbox is full.

Just don't all go disappearing from the regular forums.
I kind of hoped the grrrl revolution would happen live and direct on the Chat and Gossip centre stage.

It has been a long held belief of mine that the future of Queerdom is in the hands of the lesbians.
Your queer brothers are asleep or coming down- while the girl scene is so vibrant and alive.

I remember twenty years ago- lesbians put all these crazy rules on their sexuality and just owning a dildo was considered "selling out to patriarchy".
I have watched on the sidelines, as lesbians liberated themselves from these views and began embracing and celebrating their sexuality with a new vigour.

It's a really interesting time to be a lesbian me thinks.

I like LL as they are a great bunch of girls here and I don't have the graphic male bits in my face. I also know that if I feel like company, I always get a reply to my posts. You can respond in many of the threads in chat and feel invisable....or a voyeur :p

I've only recently come out and 'chat' here at SS is the only place I've experienced any negativity towards me about my sexual preference and gender since I came out. Was somewhat of an eye opener, and the last place I expected to see it. A gay bigot...the mind boggles :confused:
