It totally sucks that we do not have the same rights as so called "Straight" people. We are regarded second class citizens and that is how we are treated. If a partner dies in a same sex relationship what rights does that other partner have? We are supposed to be living in a society of tollerance and acceptance, what a joke!!!!!!!!!!

i lied on the census. it was MY way of protesting, without incurring the shit that this man is going through.

There's also no room for intersex people and people who don't identify completely as male or female on the census. They suggested that you could leave it blank, but that if you did you would be randomly assigned a sex/gender by the census computer!

WE did not lie on the census form, in the eyes of 90% of our friends gay or otherwise concider us married, so I ticked the married box as I do with ALL the surveys I have done in the past.

I can but hope that the computer that processes the forms has a meltdown when in our case 2 males tick the married box.
