Either Im the hugest dork ever, or onto something when I say that QUEER GUYS WITH BRAINS = KILLER TRIVIA NIGHT.
So..... who knows of pubs and crap that have trivia nights? I think these events allow a suitable amount of anonymity and a chance to socialise.

The Laird has a Trivia night on Tuesdays nights I believe. It's pretty good although the host can be a little on the "not so entertaining" side.

Any of Sydney's gay pubs/bars have trivia nights? I know the Taxi Club does, or did, but you have to be a member to get in, I suppose - or have a member sign you in. I, coincidentally, am a member - never tried their trivia night though. I go pretty infrequently.

I know when I first moved to Sydney a year ago, I saw a sign near Oxford St (or was it Flinders?) advertising a trivia night hosted by Portia Turbo - dunno where it was, or if it's still going.

But if anyone wants to coordinate a group outing sometime somewhere, I'd be up for it. Used to go to a great weekly trivia game in San Francisco at Harvey's that was a blast.
