Ok, let's see. I'm a nerd because I love to read, I collect articles on the UN, writing an essay on the League of Nations is my idea of a good time, and it's my life long ambition to acquire a necessity to wear reading glasses.

How's that?

The last time I went to Melbourne, I was there for about 2 hours with my family. My cousin insisted we check out this enormous anime/manga/collectables shop. I can't remember what it was called, but it was in the CBD, near a building with an ABC shop in it and near a food court. Close to where the highway from SA comes into the city. It was massive, and I totally wish I knew the name of it, but they had everything from Mario to Buffy to Strawberry Panic.

Hopefully one part of that makes some sense to someone and they know the name.

Well depends, cos you wouldn't be captain planet if you had a ring , but depends which planateer ring you got, cos like most of the elven rings would be related to the air element, so if you got Kwami's ring you could totally kick their asses. If you got Wheeler or Maiti's rings then they would totally pwn you

The planeteers could never win a fight by themselves, that was the whole premise of the show. They had to come close to defeat so that Captain Planet could be summoned to save the day.

I actually think even Captain Planet would have trouble against an elven lord fresh from skirmishing with dark forces - he would faff around demonstrating how efficiently he can dispose of the waste from Bilbo Baggins' party, and be struck down in a heartbeat.

Then again, when you think about it, they would be natural allies in the fight against the despoiling of the natural world, so it would probably never come to a battle between them.

Well then we shall never fight. And since I crowned myself King of the LL in a differnt thread I suppose I don't really wanna be queen as well! lol. I shall just be happy. The rest of you fight. I'm all about peace an love and taking pollution down to zero.

seriously though:
go to your profile page (you can either click on your user-name or go to the "me" menu at the top left of the page and select "my profile". Tip: open in a new tab or window, so you can keep these directions open)

scroll down to the bottom, somewhere in the middle at the bottom of the page (just under the shoutbox) there's a button called "edit your profile", click it.

Then you'll see near the top on the left hand side of the page the "profile picture" box. click on "upload", select the file you want for your picture, and click "upload".

Well, you know how a computer can't automatically sort a list of numbers?

Like: 2, 8, 1, 6, 3, 4 etc. -> 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8

Computers have to approach it in a specific way. For example, a "bubble sort" compares pairs of numbers in the list, and if the first one is bigger than the second one it swaps them (so 8, 1 in the list becomes 1, 8) - it goes through the list and repeats until it's done.

There's various ways of doing it, and some are faster than others... anyway the video just turns each number into a sound, then sorts the list of sounds, and plays the sounds as they are being sorted. That's all :D

It's extreme geek lol, I wouldn't worry about it pho :p

the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya is a really cool one, confusing as hell but soo funny. and fun to get into. make sure you research how to watch it before you do lol. it has a non-linear storyline.

jigoku shoujo is really cool. its sort of dark anime, some horror but light horror nothing too gross. and the animation is really pretty.

Oh my god, Tatsuya! My dream has come true!

Ok, let's see. I'm a nerd because I love to read, I collect articles on the UN, writing an essay on the League of Nations is my idea of a good time, and it's my life long ambition to acquire a necessity to wear reading glasses.

How's that?

hehe I love a girl in glasses, I too hope to one day acquire the need to wear glasses

Hmm. Definitely Cristina, but I can't place it. It's not from the hot dog segment that I've told you I can't remember, right? That would be sneaky... *evil glare*

lol i love chobits. i love how in the background there are all piles of papers with arrows pointing to them that say "porn, porn, porn, porn".

And the whole scene in the beginning where she's going around looking for panties. XD "pantsu, pantsu, pantsu *lifts random girls skirt* pantsu?"

Ooh I missed that post for some reason. Thanks ^^

(Agree with Death Note being pretty awesome, though I read the manga instead of watching the anime.)

My first anime was You're Under Arrest... you know, featuring two policewomen and ever-ever-ever-so subtle yuri undertones. I should have known what my preferences were even then, I guess :|
