I love laughter lines. I like it when somebody smiles and you can see the thousands of smiles that came before. I've started developing faint lines recently and I like crinkling them at myself in the mirror.

I like the extra self confidence and certainty about life. I like the way older women wear less, or at least more tasteful, make up so that when you talk to them you actually know that they look like.
and yeah cilipadi I love laughter lines.

This is a major plus. I like the feeling of being less afraid of the world.

Agreed! I like knowing now that no matter how bad things seem at the time, they always seem to work out when you have friends and family that love and care about you.

I think just having basic life experience. You tend to know and can predict what does and does not work.

Having people give up seats to me on the trains, buses, trams e.t.c.
And greet me kindly.

A man gave up his seat to me once. I think he thought I was pregnant. I took it gladly and made sure to pat my tummy every now and then to soothe my imaginary foetus.

Dressing in safari suits
Ha ha when I first came to the Territory they were everywhere duck egg blue, crimplene with walk socks and shoes. I could hardly talk, Khaki police uniform with dorky bush hat.
Sort of like John Meillon in the original Croc Dundee.

For some strange nostalgic reason I saved my father's light blue safari suit when he passed away. Perhaps I should have had him cremated in it?

Or kept your father and burnt the suit

I think when I hit the 40 milestone I reflected alot about my life, all the lol's, wonderful things I have done, interesting ppl I met along the way, the dance parties, the colourful world - getting older is interesting - u really start 2 have a better understanding of who u r & care less about what people think.
cilipadi i love what u wrote-

I love the fact that as I age, others my age are ageing faster so I don't really feel like I'm ageing at all :)
