This is a not too long blog from a lesbian mother, i think her interaction and the childs actions are wonderful
"When she was four she had a friend from Kindy to play. Her Mum told us with delight the next day that her daughter felt it wasn’t fair - Samara had two Mummies and she only had one. Her Daddy had to spend the evening playing Barbies to prove he was as good as another Mummy!"
"She said she was looking forward to Father’s Day at school, since on Mother’s Day she had to make two of everything. She thought about this and said “Yeah, You know Nick at school; well he’s got two Dads so because I don’t have one the teachers will probably make me sit next to him and help!”

That's fabulous! I know of a boy around these parts who has 3 Mum's (ok, it's complicated, but the ex-wife is still friends with the 2 current Mum's and is still involved in the care of the kid) and he loves them all.
I love the kid who was upset that she didn't have 2 mummies! Very cute!

Muki and I eventually want a kid, so that we can make it look after us when we're old and decrepit, LAWL

Oh that's good news, I often worry that my kids won't have a dad and I believe both parents are really important. Good to see research shows they turn out just fine!

I know I've harrassed you guys before about having kids, but it's only cos I think you'd both make wonderful parents :)

And that's a massive compliment! So thank you honey. We like kids, we just don't want to give up our lives for a family. I have never really thought I wanted kids actually.
When I came out to my Mum, she said "well you always said that you weren't interested in having children!" hahahahaha. Poor Mum.

I grew up without my dad and a crazy stepdad. I'd rather have had two mums.

I must say I have always liked the idea of finding a gay couple to be "fathers" to my children. I think dads are really important, especially if you have boys. Except I worry that custody problems could happen further down the track. Anyone done this, or know couples who have?
