New to Club

Hi
I'm new to the club and wonder how frequently you meet and what you are reading now? I'm going to the USA in August so I'm reading travel stuff mostly, and currently reading Cormac McCarthy's 'Blood Meridian' - heavy, but I'm sticking with the American theme for now!
Never been in a book club before but am a keen reader and would like to meet some like (queer) minds.

Unfortunately there is no organised book club.

though i have been thinking of just taking the plunge and starting one myself.

i think we'd need at least 3 people who are prepared to meet once after having read a mutually agreed to book.

perhaps we can decide on a book and see if others are interested?

something GLBT would probably be best for the first one just to get people interested.

any suggestions?
