So Labour is in.... I'm sure from previous posts a lot of the posting community will be happy. I personally am not really thrilled.... But not a lot we can do about it now....

I'm so disappointed! Apparently 400,000 more votes to coalition than ALP....
Alas, I'll survive.... Hopefully they'll just again in 12 months.... Let's see how this goes! I'll admit, I'm going to complain much just yet. Minority govt will change things dramatically I feel....

Change is a good thing. It's going to be a tough 3 years but we might actually make some progress.

I'm so disappointed! Apparently 400,000 more votes to coalition than ALP....

In 1998, the Coalition won 200,000 votes less popular votes than the ALP but still formed government based on seats.

So we're evens!

I don't know about evens.... Seems to me u owe us 200,000 votes lol
Perhaps we'll collect the next time round. I'm weary of Julia Foolia, but I guess time will tell us all....

Thats irrelevant, Australia does not have a first past the post system.

We have preferential voting in the House of Representatives and a mixed proportional-preferential system in the Senate.
