So, John Laws gets away with mouthing off about gay people... (http://www.samesame.com.au/news/local/455/Pillow_Biter_For_The_Straight_Guy)And he did mouth off about gay people. Sure, he may have been attacking Carson Kressley, who just so happens to be as queeny as it gets, but he also had a few digs at the gays too.

John Laws constantly steps over the mark..

he's a racist, a bigot and also a homophobe.. and so it seems are most of his listeners.. :(

I've heard of that wanker pretty much my whole life, with my father being a dedicated listener. Never liked the guy for some reason and now I understand why!

He's definitely got a face for radio!

Ha - he's got the perfect face for radio... And did you know he uses a solid gold microphone when he does his show? How pretentious! And arrogant... Ew.

Absolutely full of shit and arrogant especially when he succesfully lobbied Lane Cove Council to remove speed bumps to allow his muscle cars to be able to get into the radio station unscathed.

John Laws' trademark schtick has always been the voice of sensationalism; the kind of sensationalism that inspires the talk back 'Mums & Dads' of western Sydney to call in and pat him on the back.

He used Carson Kressley's homosexuality as a ratings boom & it backfired.

My boyfriend and I sat on the table next to him at dinner last week - he was dining with his wife and a camp gay man whom he was obviously friends with which I found fairly amusing.

Ehh, he's not as bad as Alan Jones and his ilk on 2GB. I had to listen to Laws for almost 2 years, and while it might be Stockholm Syndrome, I never thought he was all that bad, or that he actually believed half of what he said. That said, I think that he weakened in his old age after the whole Carson Kressley/Cash for Comment things.
