What is white wolf?

White wolf is aimed at an older 30+ crowd but there were guys in their 20s there. It's just a mens only party with a bit of alternative style music. Was planning to go but having some mates over to get primed up for Fluffy instead. Looking forward to Fluffy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since no body replied I felt compelled to mention my thoughts on the party.

Firstly sensational venue, its just such a shame the building is being rezoned and demolished from the word on the grape vine.

The sound system was an excellent rig just no attention to EQ with levels in the top register 17000 - 20000 hz distorting. Plenty of bass in fact too much when the dance floor was empty which was most of the night as all the smokers where outside. There was heaps of wood in the venue which acted as an organic acoustic buffer absorbing the high end distortions.

The music at first was a good selection except the newbie DJ (name escapes me Corey?) does not know how to put together a set; just yet! But he has heaps of potential and I thought his selection and range was outstanding. Too much handbag then a progressive track for my liking.

Les played some nice old tunes something for the 30 plus crowd, he had me dancing right in front of the stage. Les can do handbag but not make it sound cheesy. It was a good mix Les, thank you. Les knows how to mix it up between underground commercial slant and the handbag tracks to keep the Brisbane locals happy. A good mix between the too, this experience comes from lots of practise.

Mostly the crowd was friendly except in typical Brisbane style the 'bitchy set' of backstabbing low lifes with no ideas about creating a positive space were there in force.

I found mostly the other rotten egg bar flys of Brisbane not to be there on Mass, but more old faces I have not seen in years; however they did not stay for long; guess they had dogs to feed or a dinner party invite.

They had a sex space (ladies loo) with the lights turned off, except the security manned it often. This gave you heaps of free dunnies to do a crap, with no waiting in line in the men's. However I did do a lingering stinker in the men's loo just to give something back to the party!

Overall the bar service was quick, friendly and drink prices acceptable.

The only concern I have about the event is that the number where not very big and the critical mass did not stay for long.

I think go again, but prefer Skank and CNT parties, they are more underground mixed gigs. I prefer the diversity of women. Not to mention the music policy at these other gigs are far more challenging then White Wolf was although 'Ride on time' is a classic track and had me dancing my tits off, I expected more sexually orientated masculine music similar to the invite only parties this promoter has tried to rip off 'Woof Club'.

Woof Club is held in Sydney and Melb and invite only and these partys rock with none of the attitude I found at 'Grey Wolf'.

Woof Steve, you need to bring Woof Club up to Brisbane and show the local promoters how to put on a 30+ all male party. PLEASE pretty PLEASE... come to Brisbane!

We are screaming for alternative promoters who know what your doing!
Oh and bring the melb DJ line up and your sound system and lights...

Na I didn't go either! Was planning on going but there was no way I was going out in that storm!

Yes, went. Storm? Pffft....
Even went to work - at 17:30 - beforehand!

So, only got to the last 30 minutes of WW, but the feedback was great from those I spoke to. Somewhere between 100 and 200 more men than last time. The venue seemed to work very very well and the mix of men was great (and by 22:30 those that were left really looked great - and enjoying themselves.)

Only sad thing, I will be in deepest, darkest, COLDEST England (or Scotland) when the next one happens on Australia Day.

Yes it was a great night with more men then last time which was surprising given that it wasn't a public holiday the next day and we had that massive storm just as the party started. The venue was great with a variety of different areas to wander round. The two DJs, Corey Czok and Les Smith played a great selection of music that kept the dance floor packed right until close. The only negative I had was the show which I didn't really understand how it fitted with the theme of the party. But apart from that everyone that I spoke to had a great time. I definitely will go the next one in January. It was indeed a fun party with a great variety of very hot men.
