I'm a single, 34 year-old woman based in Melbourne and seeking a sperm donor who would be willing to have an ongoing friendship with me and the child. I would be the fulltime parent but would like my child to know his or her biological father so preferably some contact by you would be ideal. I am not looking for any type of support; financial, emotional or otherwise.

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know I'm still looking for a donor.

I'm hoping to find someone in the next couple of months. I don't know if I'll use home-based self-insemination or a fertility clinic yet, but if I use a clinic the sperm will be quarantined for 6 months (so the sooner I find someone the better).

I've been thinking a lot about what sort of relationship I'd like the child and I to have with the donor. I don't want to deny my child the opportunity to know their biological father but I'm not looking for a 'dad' figure either. The donor would be known to the child by their first name (ie. not as 'dad'). They'd be no overnight stays or unsupervised visits and ideally I'd like to catch up once a year. This would only suit someone who didn't want to have a significant role in the child's life.

I've wanted to have a child for so long and I'm very grateful to anyone that could help make it possible.
