Hi everyone - I am currently doing a study on the book buying habits of the gay and lesbian community. If anybody would mind taking a short 6 question survey this would be great! It takes less than one minute to complete.

Many thanks in advance
Sean Taylor :)

Hey, all done. I'm currently reading 'The Secret Diaries of Anne Lister' which was quite prominent in the Biographies section of a Dymocks Bookstore, it is the diaries of a lesbian woman in the early 1800's and is a very good indicator of how gender and sexuality was viewed back in the day.

I'm not aware of much LGBT literature actually. Sarah Waters & Jeanette Winterson are autors I've read, but I feel like there isnt enough publicity or knowledge (Online or otherwise) regarding good LGBT Fiction or Biography.
It's sad, really, because I prefer to read books where I can identify with the charater. Sarah Waters is my favorite author, not only for her lesbian content, but her style of writing has won me over.

Many thanks to everybody that completed the survey!

There definitely is a market for more availability of gay books.

Also JillyBean! - I agree - there isn't enough publicity / knowledge regarding good books for our community. Thanks for your feedback which is helpful as well as the survey.
