If your phone is locked to a network (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone...) they usually charge to unlock it.
This facility allows you to get the unlock code for free.
Note: in most cases, 7 codes will be shown and your mobile will usually allow 5 attempts before your phone is hard locked which entails your phone going in to be unlocked via a cable connection - and that results in a monetary charge.
Use with care - and at your own risk.
The unlock code is usually the last one shown (number 7, then try number 1 if 7 does not work).
