View Full Version : Who's the daggiest band/singer you still listen to?

So I've had some absolute SHOCKERS over the years... Michael Bolton, Joshua Kaddison, Celine Dion... but luckily, I woke up to myself with those ones.
I do still listen to some daggy ones though... most notably Roxette, Martika and Paula Abdul.... Yep, they all still get a listen to fairly regularly...
What singers/bands do you have in your Ipod that you're most ashamed of? :)

William Shatner.

see.. id say your safe as William Shatner has a certain following and would be classed as cult more than daggy..
i went to a friends party the other week and people there reveled in raiding his Billey Joel and Bruce Sprinsteen cd collection.. urk!
sadly i dont have really any daggy cd's.. the closest thing is DJ SAMMY's Heaven, just because that song is so bad euro tekno i had to buy it for 3$ when i saw it..
i guess too what i dont class as daggy others could, i have quite a few cure cd's as well as the smiths..

Eurogliders, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Nik Kershaw, Lamal, Bucks Fizz. I think I'll stop now before someone throws me off the message boards for bad taste.

Hmm Celine Dion, Mariah Carey (i'm talking early 90's ala "when a hero comes along" and "i can't live... if living is without you"), Sheryl Crow, Sheena Easton, Charlene, Atomic Kitten. The list goes on. I usually listen to them when i'm drunk. The last time would have to be when i was in a car (dropping someone over at East Hills *yuck*) and we were belting out Celine Dion.

The Smiths are in no way daggy. Morrissey is a king in my eyes.
I've burned all the daggy music I own onto my laptop so that I could get rid of the cd's. For some reason its less embarassing if you don't actually own the cd's :)
I've just got back into Take That again so I guess that could be considered pretty daggy.

Hey guys!
I still listen to Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Duran Duran, all the 80s stuff! Love it!! I even have a remix of "You Can't Touch This" , 90s music was more daggy than the 80's I think lol

I double checked my top 100 played songs in my iPod and found that half are 80's songs. I found such jems as Dance Hall Days by Wang Chung, The Final Countdown by Europe, Everything by Nik Kershaw and even Bodu Rock by Maria Vidal. We should forma children of the 80's group here, we would have lots of members.:)
Thatguy
7th April 2007, 08:02 AM
lol- I can't beat Wang Chung - I have a couple of playlists titles that you may like to put all these gems in.
- Gay Shame
- A tad gay
and for all those power ballards such as love is a battlefield - "The hour of Power"
I think that the "cassingles" that I listerned to as a kid effected the neuo-chemical mix of my brain - I think that vanilla ice made me gay!

I *heart* Roger Voudouris 70's shimmer shirts in a combo with Mullets blowing in the wind really do it for me.
The film clip to "Get used to it" always makes me laugh my ass off especially when he does his feaux conductor move to indicate the climbing synth notes.

I don't know if 5'11" (180cm) qualifies as either slightly tall or average these days so I'd say medium just to be on the safe side. :p
