An opportunity for inclusiveness lost.

If the rules state that "all contestants must be naturally born females", she clearly lied on her application form, and was rightfully disqualified.
If you disagree with the rules, take it up with Donald Trump who owns the competition.

Do you realise how insulting and dismissive your style of communication is? If you read what I said...all I said was an opportunity for inclusiveness was lost....as it was
In any event apparently these were unwritten rules.....no one had seen anything that indicates that she wouldn't be able to compete......
End of arguement....I haven't recovered from your last bout of bullying.

If you look up the form to enter (I can't link right now I'm on my phone) there are a whole bunch of rules - not one mentions being "naturally born female." They don't even mention whether you can have plastic surgery.

"naturally born female" is a pretty vague and meaningless term anyway.

why would any trans want to join such a sexist commercialised pageant?

why would any trans want to join such a sexist commercialised pageant?
for the same reasons cis women want to?

why would any cis want to join such a sexist commercialised pageant?
for the money, the fame (of a sort), the opportunities you get from winning?
Or because they're vain? Vanity isn't confined to the cis "community".

There is no rule that you must be born a woman in the pageant... it is the cosmetic surgery that she was disqualified for. You can not be in the Ms Universe pageant if you have had cosmetic surgery and I wish people would stop beating their drums over it.
Elective surgery (fixing a broken nose etc) is accepted but she had waay too much plastic surgery on her face and breasts to qualify for the pageant.
