Phantom Users

I know Tim is going to get tired of seeing my name in this forum, but I'm just trying to understand the site and figure out if what I'm seeing is a feature or me just 'being gay'. :)

Twice today, ( ok once last night for you guys and once this morning for you guys) I clicked on a user's name that had posted something to go read their profile and it said something to the affect that there was 'no user by that name'. I did a search on that user name and the same result came back. One of those users posted in the forum and the other actually sent me a private message, to which I replied, but clicking on their user name and icon just gave me the message above.

So am I doing something wrong or is their way of protecting the innocent? :)

Hey Jon,

You're on the money there.
Users can choose to disable their profiles from public viewing. We've thrown in that feature so guys and gals who aren't out can still take part in all the fun!

Thanks for the feedback. And that's a great feature for those that aren't out. Hopefully that guy will write me back. He sounded really nice in his note. ;)
