its a shame that pre-nups are so pricey - we looked into but decided against it because the cost is just daft

mmm I would never require a pre-nup (but that's just me) to me I feel giving trust a chance is worth it and if I lose all, well then he obviously wasn't the one. I'm just not materialistic in any way, but I guess the more rights we get the better...

I'm all for legal rights to partners, but think its harder to define de facto relationships in the gay community. I truley believe that before getting into a heavy commited relationship its well worth getting advice, writing a will and making sure you both know what your getting into.

As a Taurus................we have the philosophy of what mine is mine and whats yours is mine too. lol, Just kidding.
I would have only my finances seperate. No joint accounts, no joint loans, nothing to do with finance will be shared unless I have complete and utter trust in the person I'm with, but the problem is that I don't trust anyone (that includes my own family).

Your very wise to have seperate accounts.A few friends of mine shared accounts but when the relationship soured the ex's cleared all the funds.
Sad when we want equal standing as partners yet instead of taking half the greed takes over.
