This month is the pinnacle of PotterMaina worldwide,
With the release tomorrow or the 5th movie -Harry Potter and The Order Of The Pheonix and the final book on July 21st (my birthday!!!!!).
I am disgustingly excited over it all, My name is Tim and I have been a Potter Addict since the release of Goblet Of Fire.
Is anyone else joining me on the bandwagon or is everyone sick of hearing about the boy wizard????

I've read the first three books, and seen the first two movies. I'm kinda waiting until all of the movies are out then I want to see them all in a marathon! That would be hot.

My brother and his wife have booked a suite at a resort in the Blue Mountains the weekend the book comes out and they're buying two copies and reading away. that sounds like fun!

I know I'm a nerd and i accept that!!!

i used to work in marketing and one of the books i had to plug constantly - HARRY FREAKIN' POTTER.

and i haven't read a single one. nor have i seen the films.

i used to make children in schools do harry related colouring in and drawing competitions. and then i'd pick out the worst ones - the ones that had me weeing my pants they were so bad - and then i'd take them home and show all my friends.

i am not child friendly.

i know the cinema tonight will be filled with kids but i hope for their sake that they are quiet
wonder if this one will get a round of applause like the transformers movie did last week....

probably will be - most adults wouldn't be seen dead at a harry potter movie ;-)

Saw the movie last night!!! Was brilliant, the acting and effects are all much much better.
It's kinda been hacked to fit to just over 2 hours but they still leave a lot of stuff in.
The end fight between Voldemort & Dumbledore is brilliant, am defo gonna go the Imax now just so I can see that last 20 minutes in 3D!!!!

I thought it wasn't the best one in the series at all. The left so much of the good stuff out.

Effects were ok, but I left the cinema feeling a bit just, you, know, midly entertained.

I agree with Robbie. I feel sorry for all the trees that get cut down for these boring Harry Potter books. I wonder what phase will take Harry's place now the last book has been written.

This is not too good, talking about the lukewarm reviews for the movie.

I thought the fulm was greysh

Imelda Staunton was amazing and we all got a good cackle with Helena playing Bellatrix

I think it suits the book very well - which is essentially a pivotal book in the series. It sets things up so well for the remaining 2 books.

I for one can't wait for next saturday - i'll be locking myself in my room with a pack of marlboro lights and a few bottles of wine...not that thats any different to most of ther nights:P

So who's going to be lining up tonight to buy the book?

avoninski
20th July 2007, 04:38 PM
I won't be lining up for the book....not in this weather. I'll make my b.f. do that!

(my gawd, imagine the horror of being shown on the nightly news with Tracy Spicer shoving a microphone up your nose and asking how many hours you've waited like a loser in the cold for a children's book...) Presto! Social Death.

I did see the most recent HP movie. It was good, but not brilliant. Book number 5 wasn't the greatest book of them all anyhow, so it was a harder book to adapt to film I reckon. I'd give it a C+.
