Hi Same Samers. Wondering if anyone knew how much iOTA is gonna cost tonight?
For those who don't know, he and his band are playing at uber chic Will and Toby's on Oxford Street, tonight and tomorrow night from 8pm.

Few websites say $15... (inc booking fee) - maybe $20 on the door?

iOTA is simply amazing live. He was Hedwig, and I heard he's coming back to do Rocky Horror?

Ta guys.
I loved loved LOVED him in Hedwig! I've been a Hedwig fan since it came to cinamas in 2002 (ish). Saw Hedwig live in London in 2005, then iOTA's Hedwig this year.

Anyone elso going tonight?

I've just checked Moshtix website, and they say it starts at 7pm.
I'm confused! Does anyone know exactly what's happening?

did you go D.C? How was it?

Yes, I did go.
First of all, iOTA didn't go on till 10.30, which cheesed me off a bit cause I wanted a relatively early night. So me and my date went for a bite to eat and a few cheap beers in Stonewall to kill the couple of hours we had.

iOTA was absolutely amazing! Apart from Hedwig, I have never seen him perform before so I really didn't know what te expect. I kept thinking all the way through 'This is so Hedwig'! He's very alternative, and he's the first to admit that his music is a bit weird and trippy. It's hard to put iOTA in a genre box, cause his sounds are so individual. But, if I had to put him in a box, it would be alternative rock.
My favourite song was Come Back To Me, which had me mesmarised and chocked me up a bit. To hear Come Back To Me, and a few other of his songs, go to..

iOTA was great. A fantasticly entertaining and thought provocing performance, with a voice like a chocolate covered razor; sweet, but with an underlying sharpness that will haunt you long after his songs end.
Go and see this man, and his band.

Just having a listen for the first time to Come Back To Me - do you think the music has a Jeff Buckley type of sound? his voice is certainly different though.

You've convinced me to go along one night Doodle.

Check out the videos from him as Hedwig on his Mypsace as well, just amazing. Sucks about the late start, especially if you're working the next day..

Yeah, the late night sucks a bit, but it's well worth it.

How much are tix on the door??

I dunno, but don't expect anything less then $15 I reckon. And get there early, cause the place packes up quickly.
Great venue by the way!
