God I HAAAAAAAAATE my neighbours, wish their fucking house would burn and kill the noisy fuckers . I seriously would dance with joy like they did in Iraq when the trading centres burnt down LOL :D
Cant help the way I feel when i live next door to self centred gutter trash.

Its not like I never tried to communicate with them but theyre the type of people who dont give a fuck about how their noise violates their neighbours right to some p&q.

My neighbours are great. Twice a year we have a street party and the ones either side of us always get together for Christmas dinner before we choof off overseas and when the weather gets warmer at night a few of us set up one of our flat screen TV's outside and we have a BBQ and watch movies. Really fun.

Sydney has lost it's bohemian charm, you don't like your friends anymore coz they're too bitchy and you hate your neighbours coz they're noisy fuckers.
Alrighty, then.

I've always had great neighbors. :) Back in Nambucca our elderly neighbors kept giving us food - they were great. More recently our former neighbors at Burpengary were the friendly type - complete with the neighborhood xmas parties.
Right now I live in the most communal court. Every afternoon the parents sit out the front talking while watching the kids play on the road. I think they even have weekly/fortnightly street party/gatherings. This is really shameful but I have no idea who they are after living there for 2 years... I'll admitt I just get straight to work then straight home on the computer... I'm not particulary sociable...:o

I love my neighbour, Mikey. He's a daffy little gayboy, and we often have drinkies on our balconies in summer, and drinkies inside in winter and, well, drinkies all the time really. The other morning I heard what sounded like the garbage truck collecting the bottles from our apartments, but it was just Mikey taking his recycling out :D

My Tas neighbours are hippies, cute, but they fucking stink and the inside house looks like Whitney's crack den but they aren't harming me and keep their distance, man.
Back in Sydney, both neighbours unfortunately come from a country that use to have apartheid, fucking rudest cunts, and seem to complain about everything, mainly the fact they couldn't take their slaves over with them, fucking ugly bastards also. I guess that's what you get these days from living in the North Shore.

I hardly know my neighbours (out of sheer lack of effort on both our parts), which considering some of the replies to this thread, is probably a good thing :P

Unless the neighbours are widows or widowers I don't talk to them and make no effort to do so. The only piece of advice my father gave me when I was growing up was, "Never talk to your neighbours unless they're old and lonely." It's sound advice.
I lived next to a Greek widow when I was studying for my undergraduate qualification in horticulture, and she taught me as much about plants in the three years that I lived next door to her as my three year hort degree did.
I never knew my grandparents, so perhaps that's why I take to elderly neighbours so readily...?

I used to live next door to the gay boy that does the kids aerobics on ABC tv. But we never really spoke other than to say hi.
I've since moved. There's 2 boys downstairs I want to meet. I'm hoping that they hang around to pool in summer and I can go down with some beers and say hi.

I used to live in Rezza, I don't blame you for not talking to your neighbours.. :p
Ours are all old people generally, our communication is limited to smiling at one another in the street or maybe helping them cut stray limbs off their trees every now and then. They are quite indulgent of me and my two housemates being loud bizzatches however and having the odd raucous party, so I like em well enough.. :)
