Well there would be, however David Hicks has been locked up in solitary confinement for most of this year.
All up David has been detained without conviction for almost 5 years.......5 YEARS! To put this in perspective US soldiers that are convicted of killing/raping/torturing civilians or detainees are awarded sentences in the range of 2 to 5 years. And Hicks isn't even accused of causing/inflicting harm. Or to put it another way, David has missed 3 Kylie tours, 4 seasons of Idol, 4 Harbour Parties (or probably more relevantly 4 Inquisitions), over 100 Swans games and over 200 Sunday mornings at Manacle.
Play a part (even a small one) to correct this injustice by adding your name to an Amnesty petition currently underway to bring David to trial in Australia. All you have to do is add your name and press send.... go on act like you give a shit about the world.
