1. Move the fuck out of the way when the train doors have opened and let people get off. That includes you fat bitch up the front - just because you suck your mouth small as a cats ass doesn't mean the rest of you is like that.

2. Those who aren't getting off - move to the back of the train to let other people on. That includes you fuckwit with a briefcase - you may have an incredible wit and be good at insults, but i have an incredible fist - i wonder which you'll remember longer?

3. For people on a seat that can fit 3 people - If there are 2 people on your seat and a space between you please move over to fill it. If your unwilling or unable to move over - have the common curtosey to at least get out of the way so someone can get past and sit down. If your don't wish to do any of the previous you have waivered all rights to complain when i mash your feet to mush as i get past to my seat.

4. For the people who have been seated the entire ride (while i've been standing) and now desire to get off. Please understand that i have no room to move so that you can get past. You pushing past me to get to the exit when the train hasn't even stopped yet doesn't make this any easier. Heres a tip lay off the freaking hot chocolates and whatever else it is that u seem to be having triple servings of and maybe next time the 2 of us will be able to fit the same 5cm by 5cm square together.

Thanks for taking the time...

how appropriate....

I just started (first day) commuitng from McDonaldtown Station to Central (all of two stops) and the effort required to be on a train.......(not to mention the germs)........I am going to finish getting my scooter licence asap.......

But what is with the attitude "commuters" give to short distance travellers......I work with a couple of people who "commute" from woop woop and the bitching and moaning that comes out of them shits me to tears.....I tell them to move closer or get a job closer to home.....their travel ain't my problem.

but your post is soooo true - give the guy the prize for post of the day!

I certainly don't miss using trains.. I'm a bus boy to and fro work now.. I must admit I do get off asking people to move their bags when they're hogging 2 seats on a packed bus.. inconsiderate sods.. :)

I now catch a bus too but remember my train days all too well! We all feel your pain Pinky - nothing you can do about it is keep on pushing past them, asking them to move and forcibly yelling in people faces when then try to get on the train before they let you off...

Always used to work for me.

hmmm public transport..... i think Eddie summed it up best in Ab Fab..... "I've got nothing to wear on public transport!"
I say death to the headphones blaring from 10 different ipods, ban school kids and introduce a "gold class" he he he

Back in the olden days, people were more polite and also didn't used to take big bags of crap back and forth with them on the bus or train. These days with laptops, gym gear and all the other crap that we take to and from work each day, buses and trains are far more crowded than they should be. People are selfish and have no concept of personal space, or manners in an enclosed space. I hate public transport most of the time.

I use the Trams down here and they are better than the trains although the same problems do apply, people not letting people get off before the surge to get on, people hogging seats, people not washing before gettin on trams then proceeding to place their armpits as close to your face as possible!!!!!! GRRRRRR
Also for those that are aware of the melbourne trams, what really annoys me is when you get people that will only sit on the aisle seat and then expect you to squeeze round them to get to the window seat!!!!!!!!!!

Thank god I don't live near trains, the smell just puts me off, but I have to catch the bus and when its packed it shits me so I try and avoid them and drive as much as possible (I need my personal space)

GRRRR trains...even people on buses are like that. People don't even let the elderly sit anymore. What has the world come to. Shame on us.

I often take the aisle seat because i have long legs and bad knees. It can really hurt to try fold myself up in a window seat. I'm quite happy to let short people past if they want, but i'm not going to move up when i'm having a bad knee day.

What pisses me off the most is when you're trying to get on a crowded tram/train and there's tons of space in the middle of the carriage but every assclown is clustered round the door stopping you from getting on when if they took 2 seconds to walk to the middle of the carriage everyone would have more space.

whinge whinge, whine whine.. is that all us gays do? How about being thankful about living in a country that provides adequate public transport.. instead of whinging, how about simply asking people to move over so you can sit, or to put their arm down because you're uncomfortable with their armpit in your face.. jeesh.. it takes nothing to ask politely..

Adequate? When I went to Germany the public transport there was so clean and efficient they refunded your train ticket if it was later than 5 minutes

Peeter, point taken about us being a bunch of whinging poofs but come and live in Sydney where the public transport system is not bright, shiny and new and doesn't seem to have a timetable, unlike your lovely Adelaide there - and then tell us we have something to be thankful for!

I don't catch trains much ... but I know what your talking about. And if I caught one day in day out I would be pissed off to. I'm a bus boy and the busses here suck ... they are only late or early and when they are late they are sometimes half an hour late grrr. I have a big problem when people stop the bus just after we already stopped. What it would've taken you three minutes to walk up the road but you have to stop the bus again. I would understand if their old, disabled, pregnant.
