... so what's something you (at the moment) really want or dream of but can't have?

Be it the car/home of your dreams, a special somebody who is taken, a high job position which pays heaps that's way ahead of you, etc.

At the moment all Mama wants is a nice tablet full of L-Tryptophan to help replace some of the serotonin she so clumsily lost last night.

I found myself wishing for the same last night, but then I thought it'll cost too much to ship, and can you fit a Vespa with snow chains.

I want my friends to be happy, and not torn up inside, and I mean that in a metaphorical sort of way not a medical sexual mishap kind of way.

And for everyone in this thread this song seems kind of appropriate

If you want it, you can have it
But you've got to learn to reach out there and grab it

'Cause everybody wants some love
Shooting from the stars above
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never get enough

If you need it, you should show it
'Cause you might play so monastic that you blow it

'Cause everybody wants some hope
Something they can barely know
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never let it go

'Cause everybody wants a dream
Something they can barely see
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never let it be

If you blew it, don't reject it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it

There's no Matt Sharp so it's not REAL Weezer, but it's still a good song with relevant lyrics

I want to have 'fuck off' money. You know the kind where you have so much that you can just tell people that annoy you like your boss etc to fuck off.

I wanna just hop on a plane, first class and go wherever the fuck I want when I want.

That's so true.

I'm in a relationship at the moment and even though its lasted for quite a while now, I know that it's coming to an end soon - and that a major factor in that is that he is scared of "wasting his youth" with a long term relationship.

Fucking around can be fun for a little while but inevitably it leaves you (well me at least - and i'm sure there are plenty of others that feel the same) feeling rather empty.

I think ur better off being single if you arent in love - being with someone for the sake of the convenience is definitely wasting your youth. The thing is I have found sydney quite shallow - and they arent really open to the idea of real love - its just a quest to find the hottest piece of ass in the rom that night.

But I think that searching, trying, and experiencing is part of the youth experience - but once you find something and someone that really makes you feel like a better person - and you actually dont know what you would do without them in your life - then its definitely NOT a waste. Its a gift.

Sydney isn't shallow if you look for the deep. The Sydney scene is shallow, but your worth as a gay man to the gay community lies in the meaningful contribution to your neighbourhood; not the level of your loyalty to the club scene.:)

I am loving the way this thread is heading. Especially with the last couple of posts. Such great posts. Makes me smile... :)

I found at times, the Sydney gay (or even straight) scene can be extremely shallow but I've never doubted for even a second that Real Love exists here. It's just a bit hard(er) to find/see sometimes but it's definitely around ~

Just a matter of time before I might find it... I hope. :)

I want equality for rangas, especially in disadvantaged, underfunded public schools, that's where the majority of discrimination comes from. We need an anti-bullying program all for us, and education in the class rooms so that kids know we aren't that different. Furthermore, I want to make the word 'ranga' taboo in the same way that only black people can call each other nigger. So from now on every time you call a ginger kid a ranga, YOU BE TRIPPIN'!

No I haven't been to one... it's just I've seen/heard a lot growing up of how many people can say they won't date someone because of this and that and in most cases, they were really shallow things.

I also have 'friends' who have rejected dates from guys whom I think are great just because of something so shallow and silly! :(

Come on andrewesmitt embrace your inner ranga. Use the term as a badge of honour. Afterall you and I both know that we have larger penises, are hotter, better in bed, and have better tasting semen than people with other hair colour. We got it all!!! ;)
