So today I thought I would spring clean my Mac......This is what I have found so far:
183 files saved on the desktop (yes.....this includes a folder that was created to created more space for me to save thing to my desktop - all have now been filed) - i love saving to my desktop!!
9766 emails in my inbox (oldest one is from 15/12/06 - some flow charts that are grossly over due they had been flagged and all!!)
So far I have filed over 4000 emails so half way to go.

I just bought a brand new top range laptop a few months back.
It has 10 times the power and memory of my old laptop and the most recent virus protection but is already slowing down and crashing. I cajnt even use media player anymore and internet explorer is not much better and my burner takes 20mins to burn one track.
I should have bought a mac :(

I wanted a mac, but got a shiny new pretty laptop thing for home.
It's got nothing on it but a few thousand songs and porn.

I keep a clean desktop...somehow everything gets filed properly after I got in to the habit of keeping it clean.
For things I don't have time for, I use a "Temp" folder that gets sorted every now and then. Most of the time files in that folder gets deleted periodically if they are not used.
works for me...

Are you sure you have it set up correctly?
I love saving to desktop as well. I can only fit one more column of icons before my screen is completely full :p

my porn and junk folder has 589 in it.. the other 3 have about 400 combined..
i had to restart my browser today.. i had 23 tabs open of stuff i wanted .. it actually started locking up, luckily firefox remembers the windows you had open and after i force quit it, i was back up with all the tabs and an empty cashe !!! yay for macs :D
i'm hoping to upgrade soon to a more recent model!! i only have the small but handy 12" ibook g4.. keep this one for emails and mp3s.. use the new one for music and the desktop for video !!

Laptop - 6 years old and still running ok. 60GB (music, tv shows, programs)
500GB externa hard drive - full (music, tv shows, movies)
80GB portable hard drive - full movies
300GB hard drive (needs external case) - needs formatting
Gmail account = 3774 emails
Hotmail account = 1092 emails
I format my laptop every 3-6 months even if it is running ok because I don't bother with anti virus. I rarely get any issues. But my wireless keeps dropping off. I am due for a new laptop but would rather spend the money on my holiday.

I have a work email account and a private one. I get about 50 emails per day from work on my crackberry so I constantly read them but my handset seems to be never ending as far as capacity.
I cannot save things to desktop. I am too much of a neat freak.
I delete like it is going out of fashion.
