What is the link between the drug seizure and Mardi Gras? Just the fact is happened this week? It is tenuous it's insulting from the police.

Well there seems to be a particular focus on drugs around here.
Reason?

Exactly. And straight parties get targeted to.
MG happens to be one of the bigger parties.

I am alleging NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Catherine Burn has no idea what happens at the Mardi Gras Parade.
And she should concentrate on keeping the umpteen thousand drunk straight teenagers/18-19 yr olds at bay on the night....

at the media scrum this morning she wouldn't specify if it was intelligence from the five month operation or an assumption based on timing, but she did say it was enough for the police to allege in court that the drugs were destined for mardi gras.

oh come on, it's a fair enough assumption
if you were a fat drug pimp wanting to offload a batch, you'd get your peons to target the big parties for sure..... why deny this?
i don't see this as a big deal at all
it's not even offensive to draw a line between parties and drugs
so much for being open about our drug use
we're so sensitive sometimes

It's great living in a largely liberal country.
Randomly swap places with any of the other 7 billion people on the face of the earth and chances are you'd either be in poverty or systematically persecuted in some way. Party drugs might be the least of your civil liberty concerns.

I can't believe I even partially agree with the talking Zebra here, but it certainly takes the party out of drugs, when you stop to consider, just for a second or two, how many people had to die inorder for you to have them.
I'm sure they sucked anyway.
