Crazy Women

Im sure in some way or another, we have experienced crazy women in our lives, be it someone who just doesnt get the hint, or assumes cos you kissed one drunken night on the dance floor, you are now life partners and keeps turning up at your work with furniture and cat names.

One of my experiences involved an ex sending me a suitcase of cut up sex toys. (it was my ENTIRE collection..*sniff*) Although it amuses me now, i think it almost fits the "crazy" label.

in my early twenties, when i first came out i was with a collection of crazy women/girls...stealing weird shit for me, waking at 4am to declarations of love and paranoia, pj harvey on repeat in the car with no conversation just glares, weird notes and letters (this was before facebook kids!) , bar fights, bottles smashing and doors slamming more than i care to remember.....

at the time i remember asking a good friend of mine "why do i attract all the crazy chicks" and she said "you will stop attracting them when you stop being crazy yourself"..

ive had pieces of a smashed garden gnome given to me...creeeeeeepy

a handbag (i thought of you when i saw it....great!)

speakers from a stereo that had just been ripped out of a stereo with the wires all shitty

various bottles of alcohol

a Vic Bitter towel that sits on the bar (ewww!)

random cd's

countless neighbours pot plants and flowers ripped out of garden beds with roots and dirt attached ..geeee thanks

various boys death metal band tshirts

all stolen..yikes - i remember driving to the dumpster with the handbag and stereo speakers scared i was gonna get arrested.

so no, nothing particularly cool or romantic..just dumb crzy shit

Way back when I was going to all those Smith St Marie Wilson gigs and hanging out at the glassy I came across the odd nutta or two.

I kissed my first chick at the Glassy and was left a little bit scared and thought the way things are going she is going to be the last chick I kiss too.

I was being careful, well so I thought - I only gave her my email address – and... I only did this because she told me she didn’t have the internet at home and rarely was able to get online.

So by the end of the night/morning she had my first name, my email address and the name of the town where I lived (which she had never heard of). When I got home I already had 3 emails from her, I thought they could sit in my inbox for a few days but before I knew it I had missed calls (she was so proud of the way she tracked down my mobile #), more emails, and more phone calls – this time from her friends, more emails. I tried to just ignore her but then she bloody rang me at my work saying she was my girlfriend – at this stage I hadn’t told anyone at work I was gay. I made it clear to I wasn’t interested and now I told her that there was to be no more contact, no emails, no calls - just leave me alone.

Over the next couple of weeks the emails slowed from 4-5 a day to eventually just one or two (not bad for someone who doesn’t have internet access). Finally after about two weeks I got an email saying she was sorry for not sending as many emails but she had met someone else and didn’t quite know how to let me know. She said she could no longer continue seeing me, and hoped I would be ok with this situation and told me how bad she felt for leading me on and letting me think that we had a future together. She let me know that some time down the track when I was able to deal with it, we might even be able to catch up for a coffee and chat about the fun times we had together.

I was left sitting there shocked - I was dumped and I didn't even know I was in a relationship.

After this experience I thought “WTF am I going to do? Blokes bore me, chicks scare me and animals – that’s just plain wrong”. I have met a few more nutta types along the way but fortunately they have been few and far between.
Anyway I’m a newbie here; I’m one of those public servants working damn hard in Canberra. I’ve spent most of my life living in Vic but relocated to Canberra a few years ago and I actually really like it up here.

I had a bit of a stalker...we were never together but she wanted to be. She actually told me I had to choose between the woman I DID love and her, because "at the end of the day, it comes down to who you like more." Uh....that would be the woman I love. She also tried to get a job at my workplace....oh and threatened to break the legs of the woman I love. Good times. Luckily I managed to palm her off onto someone else, phew!

I had a chick at a club try to pash me recently, had barely said two words to her so I turned my face away. Not really into pashing strangers, and besides I'm kind of taken. Reading the first post I did the right thing, she could be outside my house right now with 1000 red roses!
