I caught it last night and thought is was good. I hadn't seen 'we can be heroes' so it was all very fresh to me but I love the characters already.
Love the gay drama teacher and Ja'mie.


I've not been watching the latest series of K and K. I think its been done to death now. Most comedies do not stretch any further than 3 series.
Infact I can't think of any good ones which have lasted more than 3 and maintained their quality.

I do agree that Chris Lilley is an Aussie Katherine Tate - but darker humour.

I like that he doesn't rely on taped laughter..

'We can be heroes' was a bit of a let down for me - but he appears to have his foot in the door now, and really putting in the effort, to not miss a beat.

As for Kath n Kim Vs Summer Heights High

How many seasons is it for KnK now?
You can ask someone in England to 'look at moi', but I doubt they'd know who Ja-ami was.

I don't think you need to put the 2 against each other - I think they should be 2 'not to miss' shows - when it comes to camp aussie humour.

I'd like to see some of Chris' characters visit fountain gate :P

I enjoyed Summer Heights High but can take or leave Kath and Kim. Think the move to commercial station has effects the flow of the show. Also a fan of Nighty Night just for the cringe factor.

I found it just as funny last night!

Jonah is the funniest character on Australian TV in a long while!

I love the relationship dynamics between him and the school counsellor and his english teacher in gumnut cottage.

I would love to know where they find these actors that play against Chris Lilley they also are excellent....

IN we can be heros ... 99% of the people were real .... NOT actors....

I am not that sure here BUT i do know that some of it is totally ad lib.

It was filmed in Melb in a real school & sometimes he just went in to a class room in character & ran a muck !! ... most of it was filmed when classes were in ...

He ios BY far one of the funniest guys in Australia - in the same vain that kath & Kim is created... it points out the funny side of everyday characters

i had a feeling that was the case genkij especially when Jonah was in a class room with other kids and said something funny or crude the kids would crack up.......or Ja'mie with the cool girls brigade she says something awful about public school girls and it would go straight over their heads....so funny!
