View Full Version : Kittens and their mum need saving.

Dont ask me how I do it, but once again, I have stumbled onto a nest of felines that need saving.

From what I can gather there are six kittens and their mum.
Mum is only a kitten herself.

They are hungry and all alone, and currently living under a car in a tiling factory.
I fed them today, to lure them out and count them, and they seem healthy and are kinda adorable, though it pains, my butch, dark heart to admit it.

There are three gingas and three grey and white ones- they are just your standard domestic tabby's but come on guys and dolls. In these shitty economic times, it's often animals that suffer the most.

if anyone is interested in saving one of these kittens or their mum let me know....
Come on - have a heart.....

I would take 4 and call them Miss Brahms, Captian Peacock, Mr Rumbold and Mr Humpheries... and I'd be Mrs Slocombe.

My mum has rescued 2 russian blue cats. We got Bear about 2 months ago - he was left at the shelter during a storm and he was boney. he's still a bit touchy but has settled in very well. He has the weirdest meow when he seeks attention.
About 2 weeks ago Ma got the second cat, Sheba. She is the most adorable cat - she just lounges around sleeping on the couch or on my bed... but when I get to bed and wake she's jumps up on my bed and does the whole head-rubbing-on-everything thing then drops herself next to or on me. I am defenseless to that kind of cuteness :o
Getting up for work is 100xs harder now
Sorry I got sidetracked but I just had to mention my new cats, they're soo amusing ;)

i would take one but i fear it might throw itself off my 14th floor balcony ..got the fright of my life the other day when my pussy decided it might be a good idea to walk along the very thin balcony railing ...there's no coming back after a fall from that height ..9 lives or not !

Take them to the RSPCA if you can't find anyone.

I would but my little puss doesnt like other cats in the slightest. :(

Vlad you are too lovely.

I would take one but I am never home enough to look after it, and my housemate is allergic to cats!

I will ask about for you though :) I am sure I can muster up someone!

i'd take them, but have rescued a cat with a tragic back story already. He may not approve of others. he's quite possessive. Plus there's the whole crazy cat lady potential thing....

I'm allergic and I hate it. It's only something I discovered after moving out of home at 17 having lived with a cat since the age of 5 and discovering that my asthma cleared up.

I now get all sneezy around them. :(

i worried about this too, bust after some research i found out that:

1-5 storey fall - cat will survive unscathed
6-10 storey fall - cat will probably die
11-14 storey fall - cat will probably survive with maybe broken/fractured foot/leg/hip
15+ storey fall - cat will probably die

apparently it's got something to do with the time it takes to flip around and/or gain direction

just thought you might be interested to know :)

You should give the RSPCA a call dearest brother. They will take them in and make sure they are housed as well as medically looked after. Its too cold to let them stay there too much longer.

Neither the RSPCA, the pound NOR the Cat Protection Society will help me.

They are saying that due to the fact, these kittens are on private property, they would need to get the business owner's permission and shizz first.

They basically told me, If i wanted anything done, I would have to jump the fence and catch all these cats myself.

Now being the spritely old pervert that I am, I could probably catch the littler ones, but the other ones can really move, and hide under stuff, and I cant reach them with my little hands.

So I took them a blanket, and have been feeding them everyday, and trying to catch them with no luck.

Anyone want to come to Kogarah and help me chase kittens?

Lots of cute wog boys abound....

Good onya LB. I can tell you're a lovely boy, despite what all those people at the Mardi bar told me.

Good luck shoving your pussies into traps. The lesbians tell me it can get scary... claws, fur, foaming at the mouth etc etc
