Midsumma's Almost Here!

I'm so excited, Midsumma is my favourite time of the year. I've been to more of them than I care to remember and every time seems to get better.

Really looking forward to Opening Night and wandering through the crowds at Carnival.

What other Midsumma events are people on here excited about??

And it only took 10 days for SameSame to get the tickets on line since the launch!!

I think you will notice that we actually just moved your post to the correct forum - Ask Same Same - so we certainly have not deleted it and it is still there. "Ask Same Same" is the forum that Same Same staff regularly check for issues to do with the site and we have already addressed any concerns that you have in that post.

And don't forget Pride March Victoria. It is a premier event of MIDSUMMA and is on two weeks earlier this year - on Sunday the 21st of January. i just got my Midsumma tics and it went as smooth as.

heading to leso comedy the ‘help’ word in late jan, t dance, wanna check out Pride march + a few other events that ill get roped into by friends at the last minute no doubt.

I was a Pride March marshal last year and have signed up again for this year. Can't wait! Met some lovely people last time round... hoping to see them again!

What else? Yep, opening night definitely. Trying to work out where the 'Tonight stage' is - anyone?

Oh, and looking forward to trying ACMI's queer lounge. I haven't found a queer hangout in Melbourne that's really 'me', so I'm always up for exploring new places.

It would be nice if there were more social / 'make new friends' activities during Midsumma. The sports activites are probably good for that, but they're not really an option just at the moment. Maybe the walking tour of St Kilda... Any thoughts?

ariadne : I was a marshal last year, I also met some great people. I had such a ball and have signed up again this year. I wonder if you were one of the nice people I met? hehe

In response to more social activities, the best way to meet people in my opinion is to volunteer for absolutely everything.
