The Women's Library in Newtown helps to support itself by selling secondhand books. This Sunday 21 June from 12 midday to 4pm they’ve reduced the prices on their entire range of secondhand books to just $1 each. Absolutely anyone can buy these books and men are particularly welcome. There is everything from up to the minute fiction (crime, romance, historical, lesbian, horror, Penguin classics) through to biography, travel, health, academic texts, children's books, history etc. The Women's Library is run by volunteers and receives very little funding so please help out by spreading the word round. If you know anyone in the secondhand book trade get them to come in with some large boxes and fill them up with incredibly cheap books. The Women’s Library is at 8 – 10 Brown Street, Newtown, phone 9557 7060. And if you can't make it in on the Sunday the books routinely sell for just $2 anyway - bargain!!
