I think this article sums up everything quite nicely.

The Rats are turning.

Keneally calls on Gillard to dump carbon tax. "Gillard should revoke or wind back the carbon tax in order to claw back public popularity" despite publicly supporting the carbon tax prior to being thrown out of office last year.

The cure is often worse than the disease even if it is wearing Speedos. Anything is better than your typical grubby, corrupt, dirty Labor government. Hopefully people are getting a good look into the machinations of the Labor party.

Labor is fucked. Labor is fucked for a generation at least, at least that is what I hope.

Im am very sorry that you feel that way about the charming and hard working ALP. I really dont think the ALP is corrupt or dirty. I dont think the ALP has been selling itself very well at all indeed. Abbot will savage the poor and do all other kinds of dumb default conservative party stuff that I cant bear to think about.

I'd rather eat Abbott's dumb, poor-savaging ass than have to endure a minute more of Julia's rancid cunt being shoved in my face.

Didn't that Jesus dude say something about the poor always being with us? Australia is the greatest country on the planet the problem is that the majority of people don't appreciate shit. Go and try to get a job, health insurance, welfare, a home in Europe or America at the moment and then tell me we have it tough here? Aussies don't know how fucking lucky they have it (despite Labor fuckingt up the economy) because most Aussies are too fucking insular and stupid to know what the fuck goes on outside of their suburb.

It never ceases to amaze me that people actually believe there is significant difference between Labor and Libral OUTCOMES in general terms. Sure there are some differences in their emphasis towards the business end of town for the Libs, and the worker for Labour, but honestly both are subject to the supply and demand for goods and services we produce or buy, the flow and supply of money is om international sources and the conditions of those loans are set by the IMF and World Bank, and more importantly Australian governments have subscribed to economic theories and requirements since the floating of our currency. It really doesn't matter who is in government, we all get shafted!

That being said, JG made a categorical statement that the carbon tax would never happen. She blatantly changed her stance, well that of her government, without at least having an open dialogue with the electorate. I personally don't mind governments changing their policy stance, provided they're open about it, and justify why. This is particularly so when an election promise is broken.

She lied.

It has reached the stage where every time Julia or any member of her government opens their mouths we all go off to make a cup of tea and lament the good old days under Howard.

Clearly we live in a Different Australia. I didn't have any good days under Howard either! In fact there has been no change to my existence under either government. I suppose being a "middle-lower" income earner, I don't qualify for any handouts, subsidies, reductions, and pay a shit load in tax and child support. The end.

The difference is that under Labor you are given an excuse not to excel and applauded for being a failure whereas under Coalition governments you are encouraged to not be a victim and encouraged not be a failure.

We live in a society where mediocracy is seen as a good thing.
If people don't want to contribute to their society and choose to live in a cave and complain that life is unfair then that is fine but I don't want to be expected to have to pay their grocery bill and pay to raise their children.

Perhaps you should give up work, get a few dependents and join the growing majority of losers in this country? In Australia more money is spent in helping people stay poor than in helping people out of poverty which is good for governments but not so good for society.

Lol no wonder I left the Labor party.
“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what?”

I'm smelling a very stale chestnut that roasting won't make any more palatable. Sometimes you just have to admit that a nut is bad.
