lol oh dear

I agree many come on here out of boredom which can be a negative place really. I am just saying perhaps now that we are talking about it that we can all be more mindful as at times the negativity is way too high. Before I had a break from same same It got very negative to the point that I realised coming on here was just a negative experience for me so I didn't see the point of coming on anymore. I remember when it was once very playful and funny on here. Since coming back I decided to be more positive and engage more positive posters. Thats not to say there wont be disagreements or any negativity but I find people who come on here just for a fight or to get attention have serious personal issues.

Perhaps the answer is to ignore people like that. no one said you have to respond or engage them. I ignore a particular poster now though he trys to engage me. I just skip his posts and refuse to acknowledge him. I am so much happier for it.

Oh please don't, I think we already have enough of that on here, and it doesn't work anyway, it just encourages them. I agree with Anthony and Mark, just ignore them, and if you can't do it in your head, use the technology on this forum.

Can I also just say, we all feel insecure sometimes, and we all have trouble facing reality in some way or another, but different people deal with it differently. I think a little bit of tolerance and understanding goes a long way towards encouraging good coping habits in ourselves and others. I'm just saying.

Off topic:
Meanwhile, I haven't seen Marky Markiwicz on here for a while. How can we get by without the pearls of Nana's wisdom? Or indeed the pleasure of Marky's company?

I don't mind so much when some twat pops in and amuses me by making outlandishly dickish statements. Because the thing that really can't swallow, is the people who come here and act like complete flakes. Just look at what's going on in the ladies lounge. We've got people saying nice things to each other, offering *hugs*, using the term *lol* and generally patting each other on the back all day long. It makes me physically ill.

Are you suggesting that the boys aren't as caring and loving towards each other? Personally I consider "gutless and pathetic" to be a term of endearment.

Oh, so do I! All this sickly feel-good stuff really makes one wonder what kind of up-bringing these people had.

I, myself, enjoyed the strap.

I had to leave because I don't much enjoy choking on my own vomit in the LL. Seriously, there's someone in there who thinks she talks to dragons. Ew, and they're all fucking each other and wearing tacky corsets. It makes one want to rip their eyes out and stamp on them.

Then C&G was really boring for a while. Underage twinks babbling about Glee and WYSI bumping hundred-year-old posts. Plus, Neal James stopped coming on. So now I have to email him. It's such a drag.

It's all quite disturbing, because he's either dead - which is awful, or he's some kind of creep who spends way too much time working on pointless fake identities - which is kind of mental.

awww... missed you too, poo-toes.

yeah, without yourself, it just seemed a bit like masturbation.

also, got sick of a samesame whose moderators would ban a thread asking "do we need a ladies' lounge?", where i DARED suggest that samesame's C&G may benefit from decreased segregation.

yet, at the same time these "moderators" allow obvious troll/stirrers/rabid dogs to run about the place alternatively spraying-on, savaging & then humping other forumites to death.

nah. i just got bored, mark.

it changed from being fun to being a psych ward, without the good drugs. & i noticed many other worthy contributors seemed to be similarly alienated by a new-breed who use the site as their personal blog/diary/jerry springer show.

i am grateful to what samesame gave to me: some good friends for life (if they ever learn to email or write) & more than a few nights' entertainment; some laughs & company when i had very little other support or input from my GLBTI brothers, sisters & none-of-the-aboves.

thing is, i moved to berlin & in a place where sexuality really isn't that bigger deal, it became painful to witness how petty & divisive samesame had become. okay, it was always kinda petty in a fun way. but i dunno... some posters just seemed to take things a bit too seriously. & that's coming from a kiwi...

by avoiding this nugget of negativity, segregation & lame soft porn, i found it easier to lighten up a bit & enjoy myself.

i can only suggest a few people here do likewise & perhaps show some gratitude for what the site offers, instead of becoming a perfect little microcosm for australia's queer scene: tearing itself apart from the inside out (apart from the samesame lesbians, of course, who have a lovely, supportive, incestuous environment which i will never know anything about, because they require their own private cyber-space safe from all others... i mean, is it the ultimate achievement of women's rights to be able to patronise themselves into butter?)

everybody now: "oh, we don't know how lucky we aaaare..."

does it really take the "lazarus experiment" group's borderline sociopathic behaviour to show the rest of you just how ugly the inside of someone's mouth can be?

oh & i got a bit sick of the bi bashing. (c'mon matt, does it honestly require an email everytime to point out some "controversial/stirring/tongue in cheek" forum users are actually breaking the samesame terms of use with every second post?)

i guess i'm just an inclusive queer. i like/dislike straight & IGLBT people equally. but i'm no longer granting certain self-righteous cuntoxen's opinions valuable access to my time or my mind, simply because they are let loose on here.

miss you tho, mark_, how's the garden growing? say hi to bazza for me.

This has to be the best post I've read in a long time. I couldn't agree with Neal more. Time to move on. I don't want to be like Irene and head for a Lucy Jordan moment.
