Hey Luke, glad you can join us

I just lurk through random threads and give my 2 cents where ever I feel I can contribute. If you're ever bored you can always check out the Hot Boys of the Week thread over in Chat/Gossip.

Hi Luke and welcome to samesame. Its a place to talk about things that interest you with other who might share your interest. We also try to have regular meetups for the Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast members on the first Saturday each month so keep an eye in the Brisbane forum for what is happening and also in the Chat and Gossip forum for broader topics of interest.

Hi, I am a gay guy, married to a woman who loves gays. We have a wonderful relationship together. One thing we are looking for, and have not been able to find yet, as we are new to Brissy, is an entertainment venue where we can both go together and be accepted for who we are. We both enjoy the company of others in the LGBT community, and have no hang ups on any particular groups. Guy only or girl only venues makes it hard for us as we want both. Anyone got any ideas? Pete

My name is Miranda, and I am originally from Canada, but I move and travel alot for work and business. I wanted to let everyone know about a website that is fund raising for a gay youth safe house fund. They are selling digital stars for a minimum donation of a $1 for their dollar per gay campaign. It is a really good cause, and they have all kinds of amazing fund raising projects like CDs, their "Made This Way" clothes and a bunch of other things.

Check out the website, and if you like house, electro, minimal, or jungle say hello to me. I am a music producer as well.

Hi been joined for a bit but I thought I should post and say hi, i am not openly out and prob can never be but need to be. I thought it was so inspirational Matt Bomer is openly Gay - love White Collar so many times wished him Gay. I guess this is step one in me trying to get a grip on who I am but am uncomfortable with being , within a void of support from family and friends. Not sure of step two or what goes from here. Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Im Sean been here for ages, just letting new members know about.....

the new social group Lighting the Way, a "Non Scene" Social Group for young guys (str8, bi-curious and gay), will be catching up outside of the scene, parties at peoples homes, movie nights, sporting events, road trips with one planned to the snow and going night clubbing as a group but not getting caught up in the bitchy scene. It will be non judgemental, non discriminatory and be there to support each other.

This group is different to most as its membership is restricted due to the needs of the membership. QAHC/Healthy Communities are willing to come along and have talk about relationships, sex and gay life in the future.

More info is here

Hi Sean,

I've been interested in joining the Lighting the Way group and was wondering what the 'young' part of the group actually means.

Hi everyone, my name is Scott. I'm relatively new on here, just wanna say hello. I hope to meet nice people and make new friends as I don't have many friends at the moment and I'm feeling a bit scared and lonely. Hope everyone is well. Thanks, Scott

Welcome Scott. Post around on the forum and familiarise youreslf with some of the members, it's an interesting bunch

There are monthly 'meet ups' as well, at New Farm park so feel free to come to one of those. Everyone's nice and welcoming. They're always on the first saturday of every month so look out for a topic about the next one.

Young for the purpose of this group would be under 30

Hello fellow Brisbanites.

Just a quick post to introduce myself. The name's Luke and I'm just a boring (see: weird and strange) 22 year old guy hanging out in the Eastern suburbs, hah!

I'm not really gay, nor am I straight... nor anything in between for that matter. I just feel like nothing really describes me, so I guess it's a good thing I don't believe in labels! I'm open to anyone, so long as there's a bit of love and mutual respect there. Gender isn't really an issue for me. Love who I love, like who I like kind of deal with me. So I guess I fit in here anyway? Admittedly, my sexuality is heavily fetish-driven. The strange times we live in, huh?

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. I shouldn't cause too much of a ruckus here.

Not yet, anyway...

Seeyas round.

Default Hi All
Andrew here, New to same same fairly new to being out. I suck at these introduction things (insert innuendo here, lol) I find I am almost as shy on the net as I am when I first meet people in person.
I did meet some of the Brisbane same sames out at John and Marks lunch at Ipswich which was lovely.
Hope to meet some more of you soon.
Anyway what to say about me, I work in hospitality, shift work. I love running, listening to good music and going out to dinner. I love to have a laugh and can be down right silly sometimes.
Ok enough about me
Hugs to you all.

Default hi john
I had hoped to be there as well but unfortunately work got in the way.
I started work at 1 same start as BBQ. As for a man waiting for me, I would take it, even a gingerbread man, all men are delicious (most anyway). :-)
Hope you all had a grand time. Maybe next time.

I created an account and forgot about it a while ago, but I figured that I'd have a proper look. I'm a 22 year old gay guy - I work in weather forecasting and I'm generally a bit of a nerd; I love discussing technology/science and philosophy. I'm always up for seeing decent bands with fellow music lovers when they come through Bris, or just finding cool places around town

Hi all!
I'm a Danish guy with 23 years on my back. A few days ago, I found out that I will be joining life in Brisbane in the start of 2013.. In that connection I hope to get to know some people before I get there, which is why I joined this page earlier today.. Danish time, it's getting late here now
I'm open-minded, like to spend time with other people, hiking (though very inexperienced in this area), biking, partying and enjoying good food and wine with friends. I would be very happy if someone would be up for the challenge of letting me in on the life in Brisbane, so it's not a complete turnover when I get there. Feel free to write me if you want to burden your life with me mailing questions from time to time!
Hope to hear from you sometime in the near future.
Kind regards, Martin

G'day Martin. Welcome to Samesame Brisbane forums. I am sure that most people here would be happy to answer any question you might have. Just create a thread in the discussion area.

Howdy to the newbies! If you can try and come to the monthly meet-ups. Everyone is really friendly.

well the man I brought for you may add a few mm's to your waist line and would have featured as a winner on the Worst Dates Thread!

Have a great day today.....we are dog showing! My favourite form of blood sport!

Cheers

Hey there

I'm Amy and I'm 20. I'm a really bubbly person once you get to know me and I can be a little bit nuts but in a good funny way. I've only been out of the closet for a year now and it was the best decision I ever made, to be honest I kind of knew I was gay when I was 12 and suspect it before that but buried it really deep until I had a life changing relationship last year.

I love to drink, party etc. I came onto this website cause I'd like to get to know more gay people in Brisbane. The vast majority of my friends are straight and are incredibly awesome and supportive but to be honest its kind of awkward sometimes talking about some things with them.

I dunno what else to say but I look forward to chatting with everyone and sharing stories. I love to open myself up to new experiences and hear others experiences and live life on the edge, makes everything more exciting
