Default Was this a set up?
Ok, so this happened about 5 months or so ago.
I will set the background a bit. Some meth dealers a couple of doors down were trying to shift attention from themselves and were telling the cops that I was selling dope. I knew I was under surveillance for a few months. And then one morning I was on my balcony having a cup of tea when I saw three guys looking through my side fence into my yard. When they saw me watching them they got into a vehicle and drove off. About four minutes later they were at my front door pulling out badges and saying they were detectives. One said do you know why we are here?
I said no and anyway he said someone has informed us that you are selling dope.
By the way I wasn't selling dope or anything. I don't take drugs and don't sell them. It was just someone had made a malicious complaint.
Anyway they wanted to come inside and have a look around (search the place in other words) but I wouldn't let them, and they went.

But anyway some time later I was walking down the main street and I saw this guy about 16 or 17 in a school uniform walking behind me. When I crossed the road he crossed the road, then I saw him seemed to be pointing a phone camera at me, I walked down the street and he followed me, then I crossed the road and he crossed the road, I walked down the street and crossed the road again and he did the same. I then took a short cut through the drive throug bottle shop and saw he was following me.
I was getting a bit annoyed by this stage, I'm transgender and a lesbian, so I decided to walk home which was about a block away to get rid of him.
Anyway as I'm walking down my street getting near home I noticed he was getting closer behind me, and he started saying thins like, I think your really hot, I want to such your cock.
I ignored him but when I walked into the driveway of the complex I live in he started following me in, then I got really pissed off and started yelling at him to fuck off and calling him a pervert.

But anyway taking into account that the cops were surveilling me for ages even though I wasn't doing anything criminal, do you think this was an attempt to set me up?
By the way I live in wollongong, I know the cops in sydney wouldn't resort to something like this but down here it's a totally different kettle of fish.
There are other similar things that have been happening but I wont go into them here.

but anyway I do get a fair few approaches from young boys but this seemed to be way too full on to be normal coming from a 16 yo or so boy.

Thats a hard call.

Maybe you should have got your phone/camera out and started taking pics of the guys looking over your fence and even a pic of the guy
following you.

If he was 16 or older then it cant be a set up as thats legal age ( I think or is it 18 ? ).

If it gets worse do you have to live in the Gong ? I lived in a small country town and while nothing like that happened I just knew there was no way I could live there as no gay life and the small mindedness of the people. There were already a few way fem guys and 2 really butch lesbians and I could see and hear peoples reactions to them ( not aggressive though ) and wanted nothing to do with it.

And yeah BadTranny has told some stories about young guys interested in you girls

Well I've lived in Sydney for most of my life but moved here about 7 years ago because I got offered a Public Housing property here, and if I stayed in Sydney I would of probably had to wait a long time and even then probably given a bedsitter, whereas down here the properties are larger, so I would rather not move.
Apart from that there are much better views here, and lots of parks and cycleways, as I'm into outdoor activities.

I don't think there is that much vilification of gays here, but then again they are mostly underground.
It's not often you see someone here walking down the street obviously camp.
There are a couple of gay guys who go to the local pub, which is a pretty working class pub, but they don't let anyone know they are gay.
However there is probably a bit of an underground network, because I found not that long after moving here that gay people I met on the street for the first time knew my name.

But yeah, the country town you are talking about sounds a pretty small one, which is a bit different from here, people in the suburb know me but if I go into wollongong itself not many people will know me.
Reminds me of a long time ago when I was travelling around victoria and south australia, doing a bit of fruit picking.
I met a young gay guy in a town somewhere near Berri, he said there are only two gay guys in town, him and an older guy who works at the local centrelink.
He said the other guy goes to the local beat, but he's always the only one there.

Anyway heres a joke, but it's probably true.

What's the difference between gay and straight?

Five schooners.

Wollongong's gay scene isn't much to speak of. It's a pretty small community mostly comprising of Uni students. They only get together about once in a blue moon too.
